Tucked purposefully amid hardwoods, rushing creeks, rhododendron, and a small stocked pond is a newly restored cabin that began as a barn in the 1940's. "The Acorn" is part of our family's active homestead. We live onsite, yet we are as out of sight as you please.

Treat yourself to slower paced mountain living while enjoying 5-star modern amenities and southern hospitality. The Acorn is close to many mountain attractions and is itself a destination of simple sanctuary. Enjoy the property's 7.5 acres with 2 rushing creeks, pond (catch and release fishing), stream, fire pit, and horseshoes.

Only a short drive to Dupont Forest for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and waterfalls. And within 20 minutes or less to Hendersonville, Brevard, Pisgah Forest, and Flat Rock and all the tourist towns have to offer.

Have you noticed how we mountain folk refer to travel distances in minutes vs. miles? That's because mountain miles are vastly different than straight, highly trafficked city miles. ~ When you stay with us you are approximately 15 minutes from Flat Rock, 5 minutes from Dupont Forest, 2 minutes from Reeb Ranch, 15 minutes from Pisgah Forest, 20 minutes from Downtown Hendersonville and Downtown Brevard. You're also approximately 45 minutes from Biltmore House, 50 minutes from Downtown Asheville, and 43 minutes from the Tryon International Equestrian Center. And we are an IDEAL location for spending the week while your child is attending camp at any one of the 23 camp locations in this area.

We live, work, and enjoy the property, and we're out and about tending to animals, the garden, and hives as needed. We also enjoy the shared fire pit, so there are occasions to interact, but we respect your privacy and respite. Please feel free to explore Yonderways' lush surroundings, including 2 rushing creeks, stocked pond (catch and release welcome), firepit, horseshoes, and easy trails on Yonderways' 7.5 acres. You're also free to access the hatch box for farm fresh eggs during your stay.
