Churchside guest apartment is a private and self contained one bedroom annex to Churchside house in the village of Littlebury Green, 3 miles from the attractive market town of Saffron Walden. The apartment is fully furnished and has a bedroom with king size bed, well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge area with log effect fire and sofa bed, and shower room. Free wireless fast broadband is included.There is a car parking space and private fully enclosed south facing courtyard garden. Churchside offers the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and a great location from which to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and local sights with easy access to London and Cambridge for day visits. There are numerous good walks straight from the front door, which can take in local pubs (for instance in Wendens Ambo)The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare and cook a meal including an electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. A hairdryer, ironing facilities, towels and cotton bed linen are provided for your convenience.

“Excellent apartment in an ideal, and idyllic, location.”

The Annexe has an excellent layout for two people with a very generous open plan kitchen/dining/living area. The bedroom is a good size too and there's a separate shower room. The kitchen has all the things you need to cook a full meal should you wish to. We managed to visit during the July 2022 heatwave, despite which the Annexe remained delightfully cool. Bridget offered to supply us with a fan on account of the temperatures but it wasn't required. The private outside space was also a welcome addition, which we made use of. Littlebury Green is within five miles of Saffron Walden which we managed to visit every day of our stay. The Trumpington Park and Ride for Cambridge is about ten miles and Ely is about 30 minutes drive away. English Heritage's Audley End House and Gardens is about four miles away, which ended up visiting twice thanks to the aforementioned heatwave sending our intended itinerary into disarray, well worth the second visit on a cooler day. If I had to pick fault it would only be that the sat-nav in our car insisted on taking us to a point on the road about 500 hundred feet in the road, despite the map showing that the actual position was still ahead of us. On driving past this point it then proceeded to take us to exactly the correct point on the road and told us our destination was on the other side of the road. First Word problems.... I'll be having stern words with Elon Must about this. In short then a delightful holiday rental close to some of our favourite places within the U.K. Highly recommended and we will be back.

“Perfectly peaceful getaway”

A wonderful apartment, clean, tidy, fully equipped and very comfortable. Location perfect for peace and relaxation. Some lovely local walks, very friendly villagers willing to have a chat whilst walking the dog. A very relaxing break, we will certainly be returning.
