Description

The Everhome (Self-Catering) Apartment is situated just a minutes walk from the beautiful gardens in the historic Clifftown Conservation Area and the Cliffs Pavillion complex with its theatre, restaurants and bars. They make an ideal base for holiday makers or business people who require accommodation in Southend-on-Sea.

At Everhome we aim to make your stay in Southend-on-Sea as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

The apartment has a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The large bedroom has a double bed and a single bed while the small bedroom is ideal as a single but can be used as a twin bedroom if required. Ideally the apartment sleeps 4/5 people, or more depending on the level of comfort required.

The apartment has gas central heating and is equipped for normal residential use. Parking permits are just £6 per day if required and they do make parking a lot easier!

There is no extra charge for Internet WiFi, water, gas or electricity and the cost also includes linen & towel changes and weekly cleaning.

The apartment is available from £79 to £89 per night, depending on number of people and time of year. Minimum stay is 3 nights or from £280.00.

“Everhome Flat, Southend”

We arrived 11.30am without warning - arrival should have been 2pm! Malcolm, our very friendly, helpful host, made himself immediately available to greet us, bring us keys and arrange for parking for the long weekend. He called later on that evening to make sure that everything was ok for us. The flat’s location was fantastic! Based just a couple of minutes away from some gardens with a beautiful sea view. Access to the sea was just a short walk through the gardens, based in the quieter end of Southend, it was probably about 5 minutes walk to where everything was lively once we’d walked through the gardens - the longest UK pier, beach, Adventure Island, bus tours if we wanted, shops, food and a real hub of activity. The nearness of the flat was especially welcome, as Southend is a very busy location and it costs £12 for a day’s parking by the sea compared to £2.50 each day to leave the car at base. The town centre was about 10 minutes walk from the apartment. The accommodation itself was ample - not 5 star inside but homely, comfortable and clean. We had plenty of space for what we needed and two bathrooms - one, en-suite - was very helpful indeed! Internet connection was good, 2 televisions - though we didn’t use them - and apartment was equipped with everything needed to cook, if we needed, for our stay. The flat also had a garden, though again, we were not around much to use it. We were totally relaxed during our stay, and Malcolm was easily accessible by phone if we needed. This would be our first choice accommodation for any return trip to Southend.

“Value for money”

Malcolm is attentive and helpful, and this is really good value for money given the cost. I would visit again. Southend - Just need a few more restaurants to reopen post covid otherwise this is a great location too. Thanks.

Response from the owner I am disappointed with my customers review. Her expectation for £70 per night was in comparison to her American apartment rental business at double the price. The kettle needed a fuse and the toaster was working fine. The bedroom furniture was brand new in March this year and the leather lounge furniture was damaged by the guests who stayed the week before, so I covered them with a throw which looked absolutely fine. The WiFi was sporadic so as soon as she told me I got BT to rush me a brand new modem which arrived the next day. I immediately drove there to fit it and make sure it was working fine. We have many customers who stay with us with wheelchairs and we've never had a problem. This lady didn't even have a wheelchair which completely baffled me. The flat was exactly as described and as per the photos supplied. I don't mind fair criticism but in the circumstances, I ran about and did everything I could to help them, all to no avail.

“Southend stay”

We have just spent 5 days in Southend On Sea, staying at a well positioned flat in the Clifftown part of town. The whole Booking process was easy and we found the flat easily - walking from the train station. Flat was comfy and clean, plenty room for our family of four. You could get 6! Malcolm welcomed us and showed us round the flat- talking us through cooker etc. much appreciated. What I would say- not having access to a garden was not great - given the hot weather. Also the flat could probably do with a bit of TLC- the wardrobe in one of the rooms had the back Panel falling out of it, there was a nail sticking up from the carpet at the kitchen- which we kept standing on, the bathroom needed some woodwork replaced- and also quite a few windows didn't open- not brilliant in the heat! HOWEVER/ it wasn’t expensive and these things didn’t detract from our stay. I would say- if you don’t have a car, get a shopping delivered! And- the beach isn’t a beach!
