Response from the manager Hi 581HelenM, Thank you for taking the time to let us know your comments regarding your recent stay at 22 Thirlmere and I am sorry that the dispute at the end of your holiday has tainted your stay. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of the issues you experienced regarding the cleanliness of the property until the end of your holiday and so we were unable to assist you with this although, we would happily have tried to assist you whilst you were at the property had we known. We were, however, made aware of the condition of the property on your departure by the owner who supported this with photographic evidence and invoices. The price you paid for your holiday does not include cleaning after your stay and we do include within our booking conditions that the property is to be left as it is found which is why charges were applied for the laundering of the items that were soiled. Again, my apologies that your holiday was not as you had hoped but thanks again for taking the time to feedback your experience, it is always helpful to improve our standards moving forward. Kind regards, Becki at Sykes Cottages
