Description from owner

Description

The Lake District is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site!!

Badger's Way Lodge is at the heart of this and a wonderful place to stay, whatever the time of year! There's so much to do here - both for children and adults and our visiting badgers are a wonderful bonus! They arrive every evening, for supper on the decking! Our lodge is perfect for all ages and families; in fact anyone who enjoys the countryside will love staying here. The views are fantastic and there are many enjoyable walks straight from the lodge.

Badger's Way is situated in a prime position at Limefitt, a 5 star park near Lake Windermere. Set in beautiful countryside, the lodge is only a few minutes from the attractive, bustling towns of Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside. It is privately owned, built to a high specification and will comfortably accommodate up to four adults and an infant. It has central heating, double glazing, a large wall mounted TV, WiFi .... and all you will need for a perfect stay! It's warm and cosy in the winter and light and airy in the summer - an ideal place to return to, after a day out in the Lakes. The large enclosed decking is south facing, safe for children and has garden furniture, flowers and delightful views. The spectacular scenery here, the well kept grounds, the incredible beauty and attractions of The Lake District and the abundance of wildlife will make a visit to Badger's Way unforgettable!! We are sorry but we cannot accept pets or male/female groups under 25.

Getting around

The best way of getting around in The Lake District is by car. There are buses and open top buses to various areas and many of our guests have used their bus passes. The Mountain Goat Tours are also available. This is an award winning Lake District tour specialist, who have carefully tailored their guided, mini-coach tours for travellers to enjoy breathtaking scenery and the historical and literary associations of this wonderful area.

Interaction with guest

When the full payment has been made, we send visitors our Information Pack. We have put this together very carefully, so that guests can feel at home straight away and there are answers to many questions you may have. It details what you will find at the lodge and how to use equipment, if necessary. There are ideas for places to visit, activities, local places to eat and drink and what you may need to bring. The key code to the lodge is given here too. We live in Manchester but can always be contacted by phone or email and in emergencies, Limefitt staff will be available to help.
