Description

Dresden Cottage is located on the popular "Essex Sunshine Coast". Walton on the Naze offers the best of both worlds at all times of the year:- you will find peace and quiet close by if you want it but the area also boasts a huge variety of holiday activities to suit every possible taste. The surrounding area is a paradise for birdwatchers and there is also excellent walking and cycling here. There is an abundance of traditional village pubs with food and a host of restaurants for eating out in and near Walton. For your daily needs, Walton has an Aldi, M&S food hall, Coop and a Tesco Express, all within 5 mins walk of the cottage.

Historic towns such as Colchester and Harwich await discovery, or why not take an easy day trip into Suffolk?

“Dresden cottage, Walton on the Naze”

A short walk from the shops and seafront this quaint cottage is deceptively spacious inside with two large bedrooms including an en suite; ample space for our family of 4. All the usual amenities are included and the cottage is clean and nicely presented. There is free parking in the local streets or the railway station is a 5 minute walk away. I'd recommend Johnson cycles in Frinton on Sea for bike hire. I would recommend this cottage for anyone wanting a holiday in Walton. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there.

Response from the owner Thank you for your positive feedback. We do try to make the cottage cosy, user-friendly and comfy for guests. I travel from London to prepare the cottage myself and greet all our guests personally. The area is ideal for cycling and we keep lots of maps in the cottage with cycling and walking routes.

“Exceptionally well-maintained and located property”

Very well equipped and comfortable with two spacious bedrooms and very conveniently located for award-winning beach, local walks, pubs, shops and restaurants together with superb public transport links if you don't bring a car. On-street parking is something of a lottery but we never failed to find somewhere to park nearby whenever we went off for the day in the car.. If you bring bikes ( as we did ) you can leave them securely locked to a wooden gate in an alley to the rear of the property provided you do not obstruct it but let the friendly neighbours know as they will keep an eye on them for you.

“A lovely holiday”

We recently spent a week in Walton with our two boys aged 12 and nine years. Dresden Cottage is a charming two bedroom holiday home in a residential area just a few minutes walk from the beach/sea front/pier etc, also the shops are conveniently at the bottom of the road. It does have a very well equipped kitchen but having said that we ate out quite a bit as there are so many nice places in which to eat close by. The house has a warm friendly feel to it and there were a few appreciated touches such as beach chairs, buckets and spades etc.
