Greenbank Country House is a lovely 10 bedroom Victorian house and in the same grounds
From the elevated site there are magnificent views of the valley and Derwentwater. It is 3½ miles south of Keswick, ideally situated for fell walking, climbing. Greenbank is a small friendly country house were people come to relax and enjoy themselves. Many people return year after year.

General Description
Greenbank House is accessed through the main doorway at the front into the large hallway with grand staircase. The two lounges, both with feature fireplaces with open fires, comfortable seating, TV's and DVD players are to the front of the house and both have lovely large windows looking out over the garden to the valley and fells.
The large well equipped kitchen has triple oven Aga, separate gas hob and oven, dishwasher, large toaster and microwave. Off the kitchen is the area housing two large fridges and a chest freezer. The utility area leading off this has two washers.
The large airy dining room with ample seating for 19 and large windows looking onto the side garden is situated adjacent to the kitchen. There are two downstairs double bedrooms, both with TV and en-suites and windows with views to the garden. One of these can be made up as a twin.
The stairway leads up from the hallway to the first floor where there are 6 double bedrooms, further double zip and link bedroom which can be made up as twin and a single bedroom, some with TV and all having ensuite bathrooms.
Please note all of the en-suite bathrooms comprise of WC, washbasin, bath and a handheld shower from a mixer tap on the bath.
Outside is a large hard surfaced parking and turning area. The large garden to the side has sitting out area with table and chairs, lovely trees and shrubs and fantastic views to the Borrowdale Valley and to the fells. The house is accessed via the driveway leading from the Borrowdale Road and is situated in a lovely elevated position.

Lovely place, plenty of room for everyone but there was a problem with wasps nest and large numbers of them getting into one of the lounges. The problem should have been sorted out before our arrival. No one got stung but it was a bit of a hazard for the children
