“What a great, relaxing and fun time!” We had the best time, the view was great and the cabin was spectacular. We never met a stranger in Derby, everyone was so friendly and down home--our kind of people. The view of the river was awesome, Bud Colucci and Michelle were very gracious hosts and the Castle Colucci had everything needed to make it home. Thank you so much! The Miller's

“Quiet, comfortable, delicious, interesting and easy!” Quiet, tho we watched a movie and enjoyed the creek flow sounds; comfortable and pretty indoors and out; delicious organic goodies from the garden with tour; interesting to see and learn about the eco architecture; and super easy staying in or going to Bryson City or asheville. We totally enjoyed it and meeting Linda!

“Super will go again” Annual get together that has been to several places on Smith Mtn Lake with this being rated at the top. This was spacious and comfortable with a great screened in porch that had super view of lake and plenty of room to accommodate all of our group. Plenty of dishes and accessories in the kitchen to cook and prepare whatever we wanted. With 5 bedrooms there is lots of sleep spots and privacy. Will go again.

“What a beautiful cabin!” What a Beautiful Cabin! This was our first time staying in that type of accommodation, what a great place! Location, location, location! Out in the country, and right in the backyard of Dollywood. Extremely CLEAN!!! Looking forward to the next time!

“A peaceful place to stay” The cabin was a great place to have as our base camp while exploring the area. Even with the rain, we were able to enjoy the hot tub & sit out on the deck. All we did was bring some food & everything else was available at the cabin. The scenery was beautiful!

“Great Tradition” We just returned from our third college retreat at Moose Hollow Lodge and could not ask for a better experience. The location is convenient yet secluded and serene. The lodge itself is comfortable and provides so much for entertainment, that several of our group never ventured out of the cabin- who needs go carts when you have Ms. Pacman! Not only was the lodge wonderful, but the staff was great and understanding. I recommend Moose Hollow to groups and will definitely be returning next winter.

“Excellent get away” It was a very nice cabin with a wonderful view. Everything is nice and clean. Such a pleasure to stay in. We most definitely will be staying their again. A fast response to my inquiry witch was very helpful. Overall a impressive place to stay.

“Perfect Trip!” We did not travel far from where we are from, but we felt like we had escaped to the most beautiful part of the middle of nowhere. Everything you forgot or might have forgotten was available, and the six of us (8 one night) slept completely comfortably. We have already inquired about returning in summers and winters to come. We were secluded, and the yard was perfect for our endless bocce ball games. Very worth it!

“Relaxing and rejuvinating” My husband, six month old daughter and I spent the weekend here in May. It was outstanding. Kendall, the owner, was warm and welcoming from the minute we stepped out of the car. She provided us with maps of her property, which you can hike and explore. We especially enjoyed the koi pond and just sitting on the porch swing. The views are amazing from the porch and deck. The cabin is in Fairview, NC which is about 20 minutes away from Asheville. It is the perfect location, far enough away to feel as if you are the only ones around, but close enough to downtown to run in for dinner. You don't have to, however, because there is a restaurant, The Local Joint, about 5 minutes away. They have a variety of local food and organic entrees. Excellent. Kendall is a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor. We were able to get massages for both my husband and myself, which were fantastic. I also opted to take a private yoga lesson, which was awesome. I am a super-beginner, and she was able to make the class both on my level and enjoyable. We got the "relaxation weekend" which I highly recommend. The massage and yoga class (or sauna treatment) come with the cabin price. There is a hot tub which we were unable to use (because we needed to watch the baby), but looked very inviting. Overall, I would give this vacation spot 5 stars, more if I could!

“The perfect trip! Awesome!” Wife and I recently spent our 15th anniversary in "A Mountain Dream"...and, it was a dream, indeed! Cozy, quaint, a true "cabin feel"...beautiful views and plenty of privacy. Terri was more than wonderful to work with...she was patient and understanding with all my questions...she made the entire process extremely easy. We plan on returning this fall! Thank you, Terri! “Absolutely Relaxing” This cabin is so relaxing to stay at. The sound of the river right outside puts you to sleep at night. We slept with the windows open all nite. The Pictures do not do this cabin justice. The stone walls are something to behold. The kitchen has every appliance and utensil you could ever use all you need is your food. The beds are comfortable. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure you know of all the local area hiking, boating and restaurants that are available in the area. We really would love to stay here again. It is off the beaten path and once you get there you never want to leave.

“Sad to Leave” Vacationing with my husband and my parents, we wanted to stay together while having our own private spaces. This cabin fit perfectly. The cabin can comfortably sleeps six, but 4 or less is ideal. The upstairs loft was adorable and my parents chose to stay up there because they thought it would be fun. It had twin beds, so not the most romantic of arrangements...but still fun and unique. The master bedroom was nice. The bed was a little on the soft side for my liking...but that's just me. We kept so busy during the week, I still managed to sleep like a baby the whole trip. The hot tub was always nice and hot and I loved sitting in there at night listening to the sounds and enjoying the view. The shower was a bit of an experience, but nothing I couldn't adapt to. It's a little on the small side, so I recommend making sure the water is to your liking before stepping in, lol. I loved the kitchen, it was wonderful having a full sized fridge, a microwave, toaster, small stove and dish washer. We went grocery shopping upon arriving in town, which saved us a lot of money by not eating out all the time. The biggest draw of all was the washer/dryer. Knowing we could do laundry allowed us to minimize our luggage as well. Over the course of six nights, we fell in love with this cabin and did not want to leave. Our last morning was spent running around, taking pictures of every last nook and cranny...preserving every memory we could. I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else whenever we visit Pigeon Forge from now on. In a moment, Trip Advisor is going to as me if I would recommend this vacation rental to a friend... not only will I, I haven't shut up about it. I can't stop telling my friends about it. :)

“Unbelievable location and did so many things at this unique cabi” Easy to check in and out. The outside and inside look even better in person. The way it was designed & decorated was so creative with all the small touches around the cabin. Very clean throuhout the cabin and on the outside. The location was perfect. Anything you could ever want to do: Golfing, hiking, fishing, skiing, tubing, canoeing, and site seeing. At the community center you can even play volleyball, basketball and other activities. They have 24 hour security in this gating community with partrol cars. I loved the fire pit in the backyard of the cabin and it has the biggest loft I have ever seen. You could walk out the cabin and start hiking on the trails. River in the back and a huge lake steps away. I'm so glad that we decided on this cabin for our vacation. Thank you very much to the River Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

“Just Book It!” My wife and I have stayed in many cabins in Tennessee over the years but if you want a view you must book Cloud 9. The price is low for what you get. We even saw a bear next to the cabin. The drive to the cabin is very steep and I wouldn't drive it even in a 4X4 in snow or ice. The pictures are accurate with a few minor updates like newer Tv's. We love this cabin and have already booked it again in 2014!
