“Home away from home” I own my own business, so any time away is especially precious. Kilkelly's West Wing Cottage was the perfect fit. Unlike the institutional feel of a hotel room, the West Wing is like a home away from home. Immediately, we felt comfortable and relaxed. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well kept. The rooms were equipped with every possible item anyone would need, even a tea kettle and grill accessories for the gas grill. The commercial like ice maker was an unexpected surprise. They even provided a small cooler for day trips. Normally in a hotel room, I am loathe to touch anything and notice the dirt and traces of previous guests. Immediately you can see how clean and welcoming the West Wing is - I had no hesitation using any of the amenities. We are very picky travelers and the West Wing exceeded our expectations. The breakfast casserole was so good I even got the recipe! There are several televisions with satellite, DVD, Blue-Ray, etc - available but we never even turned them on. It was so relaxing enjoying the sunrise, sunset and mountain views, we had no need for the outside world. We would not hesitate to come back and highly recommend the West Wing! :)

“The best of the best” I have been visiting and staying in rental places in Western NC for many years and the Kilkelly Cabin has no peer. The cabin is perfect and the views other worldly but the best part of the experience are the hosts. Joanie and Gary made sure our stay was more than we ever could have imagined. We celebrated my son's graduation from App St, my Mom's 80th birthday and Mother's Day all in one spectacular long weekend. It literally could not have been better. 5 stars are not nearly enough. Thanks Joanie and Gary. We'll be back

“Loved it!!” Really enjoyed our stay. We went with a group of friends and brought our 3 and 5 year old. It was nice that the pool table was on the bottom floor and the room where the kids stayed was on the third floor. We were able to put the kids to bed and hang out with everyone without having to worry. The location was great easily accessible to everything!!

“Family vacation” The house and the kids room smell very badly of a animal. The bed in the master bedroom was too hard and the covers were itchy.

“A Great Weekend away” A group of ladies went up for a weekend away to this beautiful cabin just outside of Boone. There was plenty of room to spread out and we enjoyed the contemporary decor. The hot tub was a nice place to relax and we felt right at home. The wood detailing throughout was warm and inviting. We all thought it was a beautiful home and look forward to visiting again. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals were great to work with and the cabin was very clean. We will have a few extra blankets for the basement bedroom, but that was a minor blip in the overall experience. We had a great time!

“April Fools” Cozy and comfortable! If that is what you are looking for, 4J is the perfect destination for you. The bedrooms are extremely spacious, there is an extra sitting room in the loft, and having the living room and kitchen attached offered us the perfect place for family time. It is beautifully decorated, and the host family has added personal touches which really make you feel welcome! You will love it! It is located about 15 minutes from the main street of Blowing Rock which offers some wonderful little shops, local-fair restaurants, and an incredible ice cream and fudge shop! There is also a fun playground for little ones! We do suggest four-wheel drive for this trip! We also think a spring or summer trip would be more fun for the outdoorsman. April Fools got us; it snowed the entire weekend!
