“Private Mountain Top” Very private spot with far views and a good size yard to kick around in. We went in autumn and the colors were lovely. The bed is in the upstairs loft and the bath is on the lower floor. Otherwise there is ample space while still feeling cozy. Very warm in cold weather with the heating system. Nice sized hot tub on the rear deck with easy access through the back kitchen door. Great sunrise and sunset views from this lot. A very appealing spot. The steep gravel road is sharply inclined so a four wheel drive would be necessary in rain or snow.

“Wonderful experience” Our family gathered for a four day Christmas vacation at Quiet Splendor. We had a wonderful time. The house was equipped with everything we needed and so much more. So cozy and inviting with glorious views of sunrises and sunsets. We look forward to returning.

“New River Ramble” This was a great time for the entire family. We attended the ASU football game, but until that time we enjoyed all the amenities of the home. The New River, the fire pit, the hot tub, the game room, the bicycles, etc. were enjoyed by everyone. This place has everything you could imagine you would need. We will be back! :)

“Wish I could live here!!!” My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend with our five year old son. We have stayed in numerous cabins throughout the Boone area and this one is by far, the best one yet! The cabin has all of the amentities of a home, just bring your clothes and some food and you're all set! The cabin is very comfy, tastefully decorated and in a perfect location. We were far enough away from Boone to truly relax yet there is a grocery store five minutes away. We grilled out each evening on the wonderful wrap around deck. The sunset view from the deck and hot tub are absolutely amazing! I wish I could experience this every evening! My son fell in love with the hot tub, we could not get him out of there!! We truly appreciate the little things about this cabin. There were fun games, Netflix access (which was great for our son!!), etc. My husband was impressed with the surprise beer he found waiting for us and I enjoyed the complimentary wine :) This is truly a home away from home. I was very sad to leave and we will definitely be back, hopefully very soon :)

I love the cabin, the decor is perfect for my taste! My fiancé and I booked this to celebrate our anniversary. The furniture is comfy, it’s very mid-century but also cozy! It literally is on the top of a mountain so be prepared with your 4 wheel drive vehicle! The views are amazing! Downside, the bed wasn’t very comfy and the hot tub isn’t covered so if it rains or snows you can’t use it. The fire pit has amazing views. The bathroom has a window by the shower so when you’re showering the views are beautiful. Super romantic and perfect for 2! … see more

This cabin is very private and spacious. It's a bit older than some of the others we have stayed in, but everything was clean and well appointed. We had two major issues in our stay- the road to get to the cabin is all gravel and very steep- so it was very dangerous on the motorcycle- and two- we had a bad run in with a bunch of hornets up in the upstairs bedroom. They kept coming in from the ceiling and my husband got a really bad surprise when he sat on the bed one morning. Our only other issue was that all of the beds are doubles, so if you are two people who are used to a king, it is really cramped quarters. One more thing, if you prefer to stay connected, there was no internet connection and only spotty cell reception. Overall, if they treat for the hornets- we would recommend this cabin to folks who are looking to get away somewhere quiet and peaceful and who don't mind a dirt road and being disconnected from technology. … see more
