“Style and space” This apartment is a wonderful base from which to explore Budapest..easy to locate, friendly and helpful key exchange. This apartment is simply and elegantly furnished creating an enticing ambiance to return to each evening after exploring this lovely city. The locale restaurants are good, in particular the bialetti just around the corner. There is a superb deli around the corner. The washing machine was the most appreciated appliance! Would definitely return. Small note, there is a bond to be paid in euro on arrival, so check this out in advance as we arrived with none. I should have read the small print a little better. There was not a problem but it was a little awkward.

“Just One word: excellent!” There is no need to look for another apartment in Budapest. Just book it and enjoy your stay! This apartment has made our trip much greater. It has an extraordinary view. Everything we need was already in the house. It is located in center. House was so quite and clean. You cannot complain about even a detail. And home-owner is so helpfull, she always answered my mails immediately about anything. I can suggest this apartmeny to anyone , without a second thought!

“Absolutely first Class!” This apartment looks amazing in the photos but they do not do it justice. This apartment is fantastic with all the amenities you could possibly want. Not only is it tastefully decorated it is spotlessly clean. We were a party of 6 and it is so spacious we each had our own living section. It could not be better placed to visit all the sights and to sample the cuisine and bars of budapest.I would highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. It really did make our stay. Thank you!

“Excellent apartment, best location, great hosts” I had the good fortune to find and stay in the Painter apartment, one of a few managed by Budapest Guestbed. From my first inquiries, to help getting from the train station to the apartment, to my host waiting to greet me upon arrival, the gentlemen running Budapest Guestbed apartments could not have been more helpful. My host was very helpful and efficient in orienting me to the apartment, but also had maps and guides and materials of interest to my specific needs and interests that he had carefully managed to determine from my emails and inquiries. Throughout my stay in Budapest, my hosts were available and responsive, and clearly their interest was more than just my enjoyment of the apartment I rented, but also that I would enjoy all of my time in Budapest. Based on my very extensive tour of Budapest, I came to realize I was in the best part, for me. The area was clearly residential, but not touristy, yet a very short walk to the parliament, right on the river, easy access to the castle, a short walk to the island park, and fantastic local restaurants in the same block as the unit. I felt safe everywhere I went, as a single older traveler. The apartment itself is big and bright, slight view of the river, nice kitchen and bathroom, and a small living room or entry den. Even a clothes washer. This was the perfect place to stay if you want to be in Budapest, rather than the McDonalds version of it at some american chain hotel. The price was also very good and made my stay much easier. It was like staying at the apartment of friends. I look forward to my return and highly recommend the Painter apartment, and any property available through Budapest Guestbed apartments.

“great location” the apartment is on a very quiet street yet has more than ample public transportation at its doorstep. The 4 and 6 tram that circles the inner city is two blocks away as well as the 2 tram that takes you from one end of Pest to the other. Within 20 minute walk to the Operahouse and 10 minutes of Parliament. Margaret Island is five minutes away for the runners.

“Great apartment with a great value” At the beginning I was not sure about the location of the apartment, but I liked the images at the internet and for me and my family its important to have a nice well furnished place rather then a cheap looking place where you only sleep and where you are happy to leave quickly. This apartment provides you with a luxury and fantastic feeling of atmosphere. Its a pleasure to sit on the Florence Knoll (real leather) sofa and look throughout the hand picked photo books. As well it is great fun to find out about the function of the Italian coffeemaschine in the kitchen. The beds are very clean and I slept very good, because the owners provide some mattress pad, so you feel good during the night. And about the location its a perfect match. You can walk to bars, restaurants, night life, shopping and also you can use the tram or metro beside the house. It was my first time in Budapest and I recoment that location, because you are in the middle of everything. The old market close by is a must and much cheaper then the famous market near the Gellert Bath. I bought some second hand CD´s and gave them a try on the Geneva Sound System (works also fine with you Iphone or Ipod or via streaming) but honestly the Geneva makes a super fine sound with a CD. I left one Hungarian Classic CD for the owners. So the next guest can give it a try. I defently come back next time and might stay even longer. Thanks ...
