Heavenly Hana Paradise - Ho`okipa Surf Suite

Hana apartment

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“Fabulous Nature Retreat” A quiet and refreshing retreat from fast paced Baltimore life! This was a perfect place to stay in Hana! This is a beautiful, comfortable home in a very private setting. The home is impeccably clean and well maintained with great amenities and a shower with water pressure! Dale & Ginny were perfect hosts, they welcomed us with big smiles and open arms. Their attention to detail created a supreme level of comfort with nice quality linens and towels. We stayed three nights and enjoyed every minute. Hana is a very small, quaint town where you can enjoy everything mother nature has to offer from watching the sunrise on a black sand beach to seeing the brilliant glow of the stars at night. We hiked at Wai'anapanapa State Park one day and went on kayaking/snorkeling adventure at Hana Bay Beach the next. There was a farmers market directly across the street where we found delicious local treats. I would definitely recommend this home for anyone to enjoy his or her stay in Hana! We are already planning a return visit :)

Koali Ranch Cottage, Hana, Maui

Hana house

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“The perfect, quiet getaway for two.” My wife Barbara and I just returned from our ten day stay in Maui. We spent the first three days around Hana. The whole area is beautiful but what made it really special was the two nights we spent at the Koali Ranch Cottage! What a wonderfully clean and romantic little house to come home to! It really was home to us. We spent the rest of our stay in Kaanapali. It was big, plush, and glamorous and the whole time we were there my wife and I pined for our little ranch cottage in Hana. This is what Maui is all about. We will be back!

“Perfect location for anniversary getaway!” we absolutely loved our stay at the bamboo cottage. what a perfect way to end our vacation in maui! we spent the last three days at the hana paradise cottages and couldn't have picked a better place! the location was perfect..minutes away from the gorgeous hamoa beach. the facilities were perfect..we grilled every night for dinner and it worked perfect. eating out on the lanai was so relaxing listening to the birds and hearing the surf in the distance. we loved how peaceful it was. the bed was so comfortable, the shower nice and hot, the cottage impeccably clean. i appreciated the decor and the tiny details that made it a very luxurious cottage to stay in. thanks to otto and wendy for a fantastic stay! we will highly recommend it to anyone heading to hana!

Ala Aina Ocean Vista - Hana Bed and Breakfast

Hana b&b

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

““A very special B&B; for a unique and private get-away.”” This B&B; is in a private location on 4 acres and is landscaped like a minature Botanical Garden. You can enjoy an outdoor kitchen on the patio. It is so relaxing to sit outside and have breakfast and dinner with no bugs to bother you. There is always a nice warm breeze. You can see the ocean from 2 sides of the deck and from your bedroom. The outside shower and tub are a unique choice to use (totally private). When it rained during the night, it made it seem so peaceful and so refreshed in the morning. The air is so clean. Your bedroom has 2 sides that have windows at bed level that you can open and let the ocean breeze blow through. The owners (Sam and Mercury) are so particular with the yard and it is breathtaking. They are 2 very special ladies to meet, so kind and honest. They are always there if you need anything; otherwise, you never knew they were there. We are keeping this as a favorite place to stay and will be back the next time we get back to Maui. This is truly a very special B&B; that tops all of the other places we have stayed during our travels. Stayed February 2013, traveled as a couple

About Hana

The idyllic, picturesque city of Hana lies in the far southeastern corner of the famed Hawaiian island of Maui. Surrounded by lush tropical rainforests and celebrated as one of the most naturally beautiful areas in all of Hawaii, Hana is quieter than the rest of Maui and is favored by visitors looking to escape the thick crowds and densely populated beaches of the island's more accessible regions.

If you're planning a visit to Hana, there are plenty of unique things to see and do including:

  • The Road to Hana: One of Hana's claims to fame, the Road to Hana is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful drives you can take. The road is lined on both sides with tropical vegetation and is typically bathed in golden sunlight. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the sights, too-the speed limit on the road is 15 miles per hour, and the Road to Hana is 40 miles long.
  • The Seven Sacred Pools: Part of the Haleakala National Park, several trails outside the town's southwestern reaches lead down to the Seven Sacred Pools coastal area, where sun worshippers soak up the Hawaiian glory in large numbers.
  • Waianapanapa State Beach: Don't expect to go swimming here, but bring your camera, as the beach boasts some of the most striking scenery on the entire island.
  • Ecotourism: Hana is surrounded by tropical rainforest, perfect for day trips into the wilderness if you're feeling adventurous.
  • Water sports: The main beaches surrounding Hana are hotspots for all kinds of water activities, including snorkeling, fishing, parasailing, and boating.

The weather in Hana is pleasant throughout the year, getting plenty of sunshine and a warm breeze. For added comfort and privacy, consider one of the town's plentiful vacation rentals, including condos, villas and beach cabins. Perfect for couples, families and larger groups, vacation rentals offer excellent value for the price, all the amenities of home, and they tend to be better-located and more affordable than hotels. If you have some extra time to explore the area, Maui's other major towns, Kihei and Haiku-Pauwela, are only a few hours' drive away.

Kolea Cottage, Hana, Maui
Lovely well equipped cottage offering privacy, lovely surroundings and easy access to the Hana area.

Staying at the Kolea Cottage was a wonderful experience. The house was perfect for the two of us but would certainly accommodate another couple or a family with children. We especially loved the porch, the great room, the privacy, the lovely house design and the beautiful surroundings. The house was well equipped and the kitchen very pleasant to work in. We also found the location very convenient and would definitely recommend it to others interested in staying in this area.see more

best part of our honeymoon

Staying in this little slice of paradise was the best part of our honeymoon. The accommodations were beautiful and the setting was so peaceful and tranquil. We loved listening to the rain and feeling the cool breeze at night. It was awesome beating all of the tourists to the Pipiwai Trail, seven sacred pools, and Venus pools. We had them all to ourselves! We had a great time cooking breakfast on the outdoor patio and enjoying the amazing view. We will definitely be back!see more

Comfy stay in Hana

This was the 2nd time we stayed at Heavenly Hana Paradise. As before, the studio was spacious, quiet, clean, comfy, well-stocked, great shower, with nice linens and towels. It is SO nice to be able to stay the night(s) after the drive and hiking! It is nice to be able to prepare simple meals and enjoy the quiet and/or sound of the rain!see more

Camping was great

My girlfriend and I were looking to take a trip to Hana and then proceed the next day all the way around the volcano. The options to stay overnight in Hana are very limited and very expensive. So we were lucky to stumble on this option to rent camping gear and stay at the State park. It turned out fantastic. We slept in earshot of the roaring waves. You have to get your camping pass seperatly but all the gear you need is provided. It was clean and in good condition. Even though it rained the gear kept us dry and comfortable. Michella was responsive and it was a breeze to organize a pick up and drop off time in Kihei. If you have camped before I highly suggest this for cheap and fun way of overnight minutes away from Hana. Be sure to rent a car that lets you go all the way around the island. It is hard to describe the drive and the experiences along the way without using too many superlatives. see more
