“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “Heaven” I want to keep this place a secret because it is so awesome. The architecture is amazing, the views are stunning. Not enough can be said about the magic of this place. We found the home well stocked in all ways, loved, quiet, peaceful, and simply awe inspiring. 4 wheel drive is a good idea and you'll enjoy it more. We did! Wildlife? Be prepared...amazing. Views in the misty mountain top clouds, in the drizzling rain, and in pure sunshine....All amazing. Star gazing will knock your socks off. We can't say enough about how wonderful this home and it's surroundings are. Simply breathtaking. It was like living in a dream. Shhhhhh....Thank you so much L. B.

“Fun vacation for all” Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nena's Nook. House lovely (only complaint some dishes and baking pans were put away still dirty), location perfect, lots of activities. Kids ages 13 thru 23 all loved it. The keyless entry/ no check in/out feature was sooo convenient.

“Family Reunion 2012” When I was 9 yrs old my whole family went on a beach trip. It was great. I was able to play with my cousins. We cooked out, and enjoyed each others company. Great memories. Last year my grandmother wanted us to relive that memory but with a new generation. Our children are the same age and everyone was able to attend. The house was fantastic. Having the pool and hot tub was a life saver. It was so close to the grocery store that our cookouts were a breeze. We enjoyed the area greatly. We even were able to have a photographer to meet us and have pictures on the beach. My grandmother said it was the best time of her life. She is 83. Thank you for helping us to make such a wonderful memory for us.

“First time in The Outer Banks” Best deck around...both beach and bay sights to be enjoyed...either just a short walk away. The Outer Bank Blues receptionists were polite and attentive to all our needs...enjoyed the ability to key in upon arrival :) The home was clean and well maintained interiorly...the pool and jacuzzi were a welcomed activity throughout the day and evening! As first timers to the Outer Banks...it was an excellent experience!
