“Exceeded all expectations!” We stayed in Sandhills House for 4 nights in June. Despite reading all the excellent reviews on tripadvisor the property still managed to exceed all our expectations. Situated within 20 mins drive of kilkee,Lahinch and killrush and a 5 min walk across the family farm to Doughmore Strand( a magnificent 2 miles golden beach we had to ourselves) the location is perfect. The house itself was immaculately clean and we were greeted on arrival with a warm welcome from Nuala and homemade brown bread and cakes. The 3 bedrooms and living area gave us ample space and were beautifully furnished with oak furniture throughout. The beds were extremely comfortable and each of the 3 bathrooms were spotless and contained numerous toiletries. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil ever invented and there was a plentiful supply of essentials such as tea bags,coffee,sugar and dish washer tablets.eggs were supplied daily by our own resident hens. The private garden was wonderfully maintained and Our 2 year old daughter was in her element playing on the swings,slides and trampoline or chasing Bruno the friendly Collie around the garden. Overall our stay in Sandhills house was faultless, the attention to detail really sets this house apart. We will definitely return!
