“Enjoyed Cottage and Wales” As we are from The (flat) Netherlands we enjoyed the county site from Wales a lot! We used the fine cottage as a basis to explore Wales by car. The location of the cottage is kidsfriendly and the atmosphere is very nice. We loved the gamesroom and the contact with the owners and other visitors.

“Lovely” Tyny Ffordd is a lovely cottage surrounded by beautiful natuaral scenary. The interior is done with a 5 star standard but still managed to have a cozy home feeling. We particularly enjoyed sitting around the fireplace. The host is very friendly and gave good recommendations for places to explore. Overall, we thorougly enjoyed our stay and I strongly recommend this place

“Secluded but not remote, very comfortable” There was a real attention to detail in the cleanliness and preparation of the rental. It made 'moving in' so easy. The log burner and comfortable beds made the environment one in which to instantly relax being able to watch superb skies pass by Wonderful cycling and walking. Access to interesting places and Hay on Wye was fantastic for pottering and bookshops. The kitchen at Hiraeth made cooking a pleasure - there are places to eat round and about but you do need to drive to them. Staying in was no hardship Beautiful and characterful properly, wonderfully presented and plenty of space for boots, wet kit and outdoor clothing. Superb walking straight out of the back door and up on to the hills.

“Fantastic views, Really felt we were in the heart of Wales.” The service was fine, we could phone the owner for information or her eggs. We were never intruded upon, but felt she was there to help if need be, give local info about restaurants or beaches. We liked the home, it had a cottage feel with all mod cons including a washing machine in an outhouse. The only snag about the beds was that my daughter [45 yrs] slept on the spare bed in the double bedroom. She found it incredibly hard and woke up stiff and painful. She didn't want to share the double bed with me, found me disturbing [up in the night.] We had to go a few miles into Betswy Coed for food, but the Spar there had everything we wanted and stayed open late every day so shopping was not a problem. The distance to all the different mountains took quite a while to get to, the situation was good, but perhaps not quite as central as we would have liked. Not a big deal really, but we only had a week and we wanted to do so much, a lot of our time was travelling. I liked the views over such a vast skyline of hills and the lovely wild flowers, streams and walks straight from the house. We didn't like sky television, couldn't see the programmes we wanted, they couldn't be found. The boys liked the peace of the place - they had come from the busy city of Shanghai, but being boys, they wanted to play football and found the garden a bit too small for that. I don't think they were too impressed with the games room, but as we were out most of time, these issues were minor. I know they enjoyed their holiday immensely, they had wanted to go to Wales for a long time and they reffered to the fields, the sheep, the beaches and their different hikes many times when they got back to my home. They wrote and thanked me warmly when they went back to Shanghai.

“Relaxation and reinvigoration.” This is an exceptionally well-equipped and comfortable house. We had some lovely welcome goodies - flowers/food & drink -something for everyone. I really missed the sunflowers when they finally faded! We tended to use the ground floor kitchen for our meals, so brought some of the pots and pans downstairs. We lost the children to the basement games room for the first few hours each morning until the weather brightened up. The views from the front bedrooms out over the bay are lovely. I didn't think I'd ever find a more comfortable bed than my own, but here I did. There are lots of stairs, but all quite manageable, even for the elderly(1) and infirm(1) amongst us. Lovely garden to sit out in. This was our first visit to New Quay and we loved it. Lots of great walks around the bay and along the coastal path. We tried sailing and kayaking at the Watersports Centre. Everything we needed was within walking distance, so we didn't have to keep getting in the car, although we did venture out on occasions. We look forward to returning in the future
