“Paradise in the Bahamas” This was our second trip to Exuma & this trip was made extra special as a result of renting Nemo House. The website and description of this five star rental property does not do it justice. The house was a short ten-minute drive from the airport and as we arrived at the house we didn't know what to look at first - the stunning view or the beautiful house. The house is something you see in magazines, it is bright & airy and so well thought out. My wife and I were here on our own, but the house would be perfect for one or two families. There is plenty of space and we felt somewhat guilty using only one of the four very well appointed bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The kitchen is truly a chef's kitchen, with everything you could possibly need. In fact we never thought even once, 'oh I wish they had this or that', there was a griddle and Panini grill, a blender, a food processor, and more pots then you would ever need to prepare a meal. The house overlooks beautiful Tar Bay and the beach & water is easily viewed through the large windows and sliding doors that front the house, or from the beautiful deck that has a variety of seating options. The beach is at your doorstep, literally just a few steps down the staircase. On the beach we rarely saw more then a handful of people at anyone time, it really was like having your own private beach. We also made use of one of the tandem sea kayaks & of the snorkeling gear. The guest binder pointed out all the local attractions and restaurants & it was really our reference book for everything we did. Cindy & Luc were a pleasure to deal with and we felt like we had lots of support if need be, both from their local representative, Ian, and via phone with Cindy and Luc. On a rainy day, not that we had one, there are several board games to choose from and there are also five flat screen Tv's throughout the house. Nemo House truly is the best rental property on Tar Bay & I would argue one of the finest in Exuma.
