“Enjoyment” We stayed in one room of El Chante surf house which had a bathroom and deck. We normally rent in more private accommodations but enjoyed ourselves immensely. The other two rooms were rented by people that were a pleasure to meet and converse with in the shared kitchen. The host couple was very knowledgeable, helpful and genuine. They were also fluent in English. If we had a question or request they were there for us. The house is located in a nice community near the beach, just outside of town. We were able to enjoy the town and the beaches without the problems that might occur if located elsewhere. The pool was great for a quick swim. To sum it up, we plan on staying at El Chante surf house again.

“My daughter and I enjoyed the guesthouse and Montezuma, especial” We only had time for two nights in Montezuma, yet this guesthouse served our needs well. Ype was a great host with lots of information on where we were traveling(we drove ourselves) and met us in Montezuma when we arrived. We had a four wheel drive which was helpful for clearance on the road to the guesthouse. The best part of the house is the wraparound glass walled veranda on the floor with the guest bedrooms. Many of the windows are open and the views and breeze were wonderful. We felt very secure as the property is gated. The trip to Montezuma takes about 10 minutes due to the road, but we got used to it quickly. The breeze was quite nice when we were there, but not sure how comfortable it would be sleeping without a/c when there is no breeze. This is a very nice place--wish we had more time to go exploring Malpais.

“Incredible Stay, Loved Everyday.” My wife and two children stayed here and loved it. The house is located at the top of a windy private road and has one of the best (if not the best) views in all of Santa Teresa. It is only a short 5 minute drive to everything on the main road, as well as one of the area's most beautiful beaches (Playa Santa Teresa), and one of the best surf spots (La Lora). The house had everything we needed including satellite TV, fast Internet, a fully equipped kitchen and was full of modern furnishings - we were very comfortable here and really enjoyed ourselves. One of our favorite parts of the house besides the view was the pool - if you've never been to Santa Teresa before, in the middle of the day it gets really hot, so having your own pool to jump into with one of the best views of the Pacific Ocean in the background was awesome. Lastly,if you like watching sunsets - I have never been anywhere on Earth that has a more lovely sunset view than this house and the property it sits on. We would definitely return to Casa Bella Vista.

“Incredible oasis with specular views” We (2) recently stayed at casa nirvana with 1 other couple and 2 friends. The moment we came to the front door, it was apparent that our 11 day stay was in the lap of luxury. The space was open, modern and comfortable. It boasts an impressive view out the large, sliding glass windows directly into the pool and the 180 degree, mountain top ocean Vista. The space was large enough that we could escape from the rest or relax with the group. The Argentinian bbq and full cooks kitchen is great for those nights when the amazing restaurants give way to freshly caught fish and organic fruits and veggies. I would definitely mention that you do require a 4x4 as mechi had told us a few times to get up road to the house. It was private, luxurious and incredibly clean and spacious. we will 100% be back to stay and can't wait until we do. thanks mechi and Danni!

“Felt like home, great view, wonderful deck.” We had a wonderful time at La Colina de Carolina in Montezuma. We've stayed at several rental vacation places and found La Colina to be the best for us. It was more like home, rather than cold and impersonal like some places. It's built on a hill with an overhang roof, so it's cool, there was no need for air con. There was a powerful floor fan when we needed it for a particularly hot day. Some places say "well equipped" kitchen, but this one really was! Very homey and comfortable, perfect for a couple. Can't see any neighbours, just nature and a wonderful view. Montezuma is still a small quiet town with unspoiled beaches. We are a past-mid-century couple and managed to walk back up the hill from the beach every day, we just waited for late afternoon when the sun was off the hill. It wasn't that bad, and kept us in shape. We'd definitely go back to La Colina and recommend to our friends.

“Private Paradise” All 6 of us had an amazing time at Brisas del Pacifico. We wished we could have stayed longer, and will definitely rent this house again. The owners and property manager answered every question we had ahead of time and were very helpful in planning our stay. Gini the property manager met us on arrival and showed us around the house, as well she gave us her cell phone and told her to call for anything at all, even translating services if we needed it! The entrance is in to the kitchen and living room with the master bedroom on the left. The other 2 bedrooms each have a private entrance with a sliding glass door out to the patio. This was laid out perfectly for our group of 3 couples, with lots of privacy for each room! We spent almost all our time on the beautiful patio or in the pool, definitely our favorite part of the villa. The house is located approx five minutes to two different towns. Montezuma is located on a beach and is a nice town with lots of tourists. Most people spoke English, and were very polite. We had dinner a few times in Montezuma, but once we found Puggos Restaurant we kept going there for amazing food and a full sushi bar. We drove to other nearby towns as well. The house was decorated nicely and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. Each room had an ensuite, although one was located just outside the room. The scenery was amazing and the wildlife incredible. Zipling is an absolute must-do, along with jumping in the waterfalls. The house took a long time to get to but the drive and ferry are absolutely worth it! Renting a car is important, as you could walk in to Montezuma, but the hill down is very steep, curvy and long, and the walk back up would be hard. We felt perfectly safe in the house and in the area, although they did have Heime (the maintenance man and extra security) living next door. This was an amazing vacation and we will absolutely go back to this villa and this area.

“Laid Back Paradise!” The photos don’t do it justice! Casa Buena Vida is the perfect place for a laid back getaway. This home is so peaceful and naturally gorgeous that I often stayed by the pool while my fellow travelers walked to the beach just a few steps at the end of the road. The trees and flowers are breathtaking. We enjoyed watching birds, iguanas and even howler monkeys. The house is conducive to chilling, which we really needed. It’s easy to hang out at the pool, on the patio or indoors on the big couch or around the table. Everything we needed – except surfboards, but we had those delivered – was right there. Case Buena Vida is centrally located so although we didn’t have a car, we were able to walk to the shops and restaurants both on the beach and along the main road in town. It’s also next door to a small hotel with a restaurant and spa, so it was like having hotel amenities while staying in a house. Because we walked everywhere and swam and surfed every day, we slept hard at night. The comfy beds and air conditioning helped, too! The owner was very easy to work with and helped with recommendations on grocery delivery, eating out and activities. She didn’t steer us wrong. There is even a book with recommendations for things to do and places to go in the house. We had a blast and will definitely be back! I’d recommend to anyone!
