“Great location, beautiful view, cosy place” We visited for a week with our kids (9, 12 years) in July, I can only support my Co-reviewers: a most beautiful location, the sea at your feet, a spectacular sight with sunsets and rocks for kids to climb, with love, taste and insight prepared surroundings (find a bench/picknic table at the places you like to sit), a cosy, clean place, with all you need to feel comfortable, kind people meeting your needs/wishes whereever possible, lots of interesting things to do (hikes, biking, whale watching) in close distance.

“quiet, relaxed and restful, but fun” The location on the quiet side of the island was great. Fun to visit the lobster house, and car museum. Close enough for access to national park, Bar Harbour and nearby attractions. Acadia is obviously unique and beautiful. Location provides good privacy with good access.

Bayberry Cottage - Storybook cottage in the lovely woods of Pretty Marsh
Amazing

Bayberry Cottage was amazing! It was secluded and quiet and a perfect place to stay on Mount Desert Island. It is a bit if a hike to Bar Harbor so if you don't have a car, this is not the place for you. It was very serene and relaxing. The cottage is kept very clean was was perfect for our family of 3. My 8 year old son asked if we could stay for another week:)see more
Pinelodge Cottage, Quiet side of Mt. Desert Island, Acadia Natl.Park, waterfront
Everything we were hoping it would be!!!

We so enjoyed our stay at Pinelodge Cottage! The cottage is cozy, warm, and well-appointed and decorated. It is a great place to regroup after a day of adventure. Wi-fi is available, which is good because at&T; is the only service available this close to the Ocean. Gott's Grocery Store is about 10 minutes away, and there is a post office at Bernard, only 7 minutes away. We were 30 to 45 minutes from other harbors and activities. Bass Harbor is only 10 minutes away, and great eating at Ketch! This home has 2 bedrooms, one with a comfy double bed, and one with two twin beds, equally comfy. Linens can be supplied for a price, and we recommend this option as to bringing in your own. The deck has a grill and charcoal available. The kitchen has a coffee maker and we enjoyed our first cup every morning looking out the sliding glass doors to the ocean view. Adventuresome people can trek down the path, over the rocky boulders and along the shore during low tide. Tidal pools are fun to explore and sea shells can be gathered. It is a climb to get back up to the yard! I am disabled, and used a rollator/walker. I had no problem from the drive way up the two steps to enter the cottage from side deck. The indoor floors are wooden, with an indoor-outdoor carpet in both bedrooms. The bathroom is tile, with a shower. I brought my own shower stool. This house is not wheelchair friendly, however I found it quite wonderful for my needs. We recommend arriving to this resort in the daylight. It is very dark at night, and we appreciate Kathy's patience in coaxing us as we inched along in pure dark to find our way rather late when we arrived.see more
