“Better than expected” We loved our stay at Seawinds. The apartment was clean, spacious, exactly like the pictures, on a beautiful development and right at the deep-blue and turquoise ocean - the view is just breathtaking. The condo itself is well maintained and has all the appliances you need and more, nice big flatscreen TV and two great balconies with furniture. It was also very nice that things like suntan lotion and dishwasher detergent were available, so you don't have to buy all that stuff. There are plenty of plates, glasses, pots and pans, etc. The water heater broke during our stay, but it was quickly repaired the next day. We did have a couple of issues: 1) the water pressure is looow, it was so low that I couldn't get the jacuzzi to fill and I gave up after 45 minutes (pretty sure water pressure can't be fixed) 2) there was no manual in the apartment to explain how to use the WiFi (the password, that it works great on the balcony and the pool, but not in the bedroom), the TV, the water heater, etc., but we worked around that. The condo complex is also well maintained - there were people daily cleaning the pool, removing fallen leaves, etc. Loungers and chairs at the pool(s) are plenty and comfortable (there are 4 pools, but they're all really close together, so it feels more like one big pool). The water in the pools was a bit nippy, not something we would hang around in for hours. In fact, the ocean was warmer. There were hardly any other people, so if you like it nice and quiet, this is the place. The complex is about 20 minutes walk over the beach from most of the restaurants and we walked there every single night - very romantic in the moonlight! There are plenty of restaurants on the beach, from very simple to quite exquisite. Especially La Casita de Papi is worth mentioning. Activities also plenty (to participate or watch from the pool area) like horseback riding, kite boarding, windsurfing, etc. We would definitely recommend this place - you will not be disappointed.

“Lovely stay!” We really enjoyed our stay at Danièle's Flat! Lovely was the "patio" (inner yard) where you can spend some time to relax and eat. The house was really clean and the kitchen was fully equipped. The location is in the middle of the city so it's nice if you want to have contact with local people but it takes 5' to the beach by car. Neighbors like to listen loud music sometimes ;) Nice neighborhood and not too far from the beach and everything we needed to go to. There's a small supermarket right around the corner to buy the daily needed stuff but for food we recommend to go the big supermarket called "Sirena." If you're not able to rent a car you can take one of the many "motoconchistas" which are mototaxi's but for long distances we recommend to rent a taxi. The average price to go to the beach in Puerto Plata is between 25-30 Pesos (ap.1USD p.p.). Taxi is more expensive! Nice to visit: - Pico Isabel de Torres - Old town - Beach (our favorite: "Costambar") - Damajaqua Cascades (27 Waterfalls) - Cabarete (Windsurfing, nice beach, kitesurfing) - Encuentro (Surfing) - We also made some chocolate (ask the owner for further information) Since the owner is also from Switzerland it almost felt like home. “Exactly as owner described and Perfect!” The pictures of the newly updated and fabulously equipped condo don't do it justice! Spotless, very comfortable and quiet in a great location with easy access to Puerto Plata and towns to the east. RoBert was very quick to return my calls and emails and very honest. A honorable man to do business with and a place you'll love.

“villa in sosua” Andrea made our stay very comfortable. She is quick to take care of any problems which may arise. We were only 5 minutes from the beach and restaurants. There were no surpises from what we were told to what we got. I would recommend this house to any family of 4 or two couples.

“We loved it!!” Joe the owner is a great guy, he made himself available from day one. The condo is very well kept full of bright tropical colors, nice decorations and it has everything you need while away from home. The beaches are both walking distance and the condo is also close to hair salons, restaurants, the supermarket and various shops including a grocery store around the corner. Juan was also very helpful and the price is great. I went with my husband and two children 8 and 13 years old and we all had a great time. Overall we would definitely stay here again!
