“fantastic villa for our family reunion” We were very fortunate to find this fantastic villa for our family reunion. Family from the us, Australia and England all met at the family's historic homeland of Sulmona. The villa's rooms are more like suites or apartments than a standard hotel room. Large balcony, shared with a second room on that floor. Rooms on same floor can be joined (or not) by a common door between. Mike as a very gracious host and was very helpful in helping us get into and around Sulmona. Looking out to the hills and mountains was absolutely beautiful. We were able to take a nice hike from the villa up into the nearby mountains and towns. A great stay for a single, couple or group.

“Liked it so much we bought a house there!” We wanted a family holiday (kids aged 9 and 11) in a convenient location. The booking was easy and the details about getting to the casa were excellent. It had everything we needed - a terrace for every moment of the day, all modcons and appliances (the Dvds were welcome diversions for tired kids) with clean and neat accommodation. The friendly, welcoming locals made our stay an experience rather than just a break and there are so many events on in the area and places to visit you'd need a lifetime to cover it all. Nature abounds with 4 National Parks nearby containing butterflies, bears and wolves. Hiking, climbing, caving, skiing and nearby beaches. Archaeology, historical buildings and Ovid's birthplace. Truly something for everyone in abruzzo!
