“Apartment is in good location and a pleasant stay for Venice!” Davide was very helpful and responded quickly to my emails. His apartment is a good location for seeing the Venice sites. My husband and I were comfortable in the apartment and would highly recommend it to our friends. The apartment was clean and in good condition.

“Nice experience” Nicely welcome upon arrival . Well equipped apartment - very comfortable for 2 but ok for 4 ( you share bath room). Very well located in Dorsoduro, many nice restaurants and cafe in the nearby in addition to many cultural places ( scuole and Churches). Everything is walking distance.

“You will love it!!” From start to finish it was a pleasure! Not only was Marc wonderful to deal with during the booking process, we had alternate contact details for his mother and the housekeeper to ensure we were well looked after. The apartment was wonderful. Marc's fantastic instructions and suggestion to get a water taxi from Venice airport (where we left our vehicle) was well received and we were dropped virtually at the front door. There is one flight of stairs up to the apartment (which is above a restaurant), and easy to manage - and the apartment itself was absolutely charming! Gorgeous kitchen and bathroom and the bed in the master bedroom made us feel like royalty! The position was wonderful because it was away from the crowds - but still an easy walk to St Marks and fantastic restaurants and shops. We loved looking out our window and watching the comings and goings of the canal - it made us feel like locals and not so much as tourists. Thanks also for the lovely welcome pack of bread, spreads, drinks, prosecco - it was glorious. I would highly recommend this apartment - and I would love to return (3 nights was definitely not enough!!!).

“It's not just the place, it's the hostess” The best thing about this apartment--beyond it's location--is that when you rent it, you meet Maya. Maya is the quintessential host. She's thought of everything to make your experience in Zagreb memorable and your stay at her apartment comfortable. From a mobile phone to use locally to lists of great restaurants within walking distance, she's compiled a notebook of information that anticipates your every need. Before we arrived, she also got to know us, and tailored other details to meet our particular interests. She even helped us arrange a place to stay on the Peljesac Penninsula in the off season and to meet an oyster farmer there. The location is perfect for exploring Zagreb. It's on the back side of Ban Jalacic Square, directly across from the Dolac Market and the foot of the steps that separate the upper and lower towns. (The sunny front room looks out on both.) When you walk out the front door, you are in the middle of a colorful flower market section of Dolac, and you feel like a local. We were four adults; the couple (in their 70s) took the bedroom, the others slept on two couches that converted to comfortable beds in the living room. If you like to sleep in, be sure to take the back bedroom since the front room gets noisy (and light) early in the morning due to its proximity to Dolac. I think the place would be great for a family with kids. The kitchen is well equipped, but if you have more than two people, you'll likely want to eat in the sunny front room. The building has an elevator, which is convenient; the apartment is perfect for older travelers who may have some mobility issues. I can't say enough about our wonderful experience in Zagreb, mostly thanks to the amazing Maya. Meeting her will be a highlight of your trip, if not your life.

“The perfect setting for our Venetian holiday” The minute we entered the Ca' delle Maschere apartment, my family and I felt a breath of Venetian tradition, unperturbed by the numerous modern commodities which the apartment had, which in turn made our stay run smoothly. We enjoyed dining in the spacious kitchen/living room, with the typically Venetian wooden pillars on the high ceiling. The location was also excellent, as we found we could reach all the main attractions on foot. The building which houses the apartment appears to have been very recently rennovated, an extremely reassuring fact in a city as ancient as Venice! I feel that staying in this apartment was the perfect backdrop for the truly colourful days we spent in Venice. For anyone with a need for comfort and a strategically ideal location, I heartily recommend this apartment!
