“The Best of Costa Rica!” This was my second visit to Villa Encantada! After the first visit in 2010, my daughter decided this was the place to get married! We returned with a group of 30+. The bridal party(14) stayed at the Villa and Glenn helped to place the rest of us in properties close by, including his sister's house up the hill. The whole event could not have been better! Let me say that Glenn is a great guy and incredible host! If you want to experience the best of Costa Rica, stay with Glenn at the Villa! The grounds are as beautiful as the pictures indicate and you can be entertained right on the property. The Tabacon Lodge and Skywalk at Volcanoes National Park are under one hour drive. Shopping and dining in Nuevo Arenal has a true Tico feel and much better than dealing with the big tourist towns. Pura Vida! Thank you Glenn!

“My stay here was heaven on earth.” My stay on this villa was great. Everything I could imagine and more Food was delicious and authentic; not process or frozen. The master suit where I stayed was immaculate. The power shower to the huge jacuzzi bath. The king size bed made my night rest wonderful. It's felt like I was sleeping on clouds. This villa was hard for me to leave, from pool, xbox, board games and a fantastic pool why must I go outside.(lol). When I decided to go outside it was also a great and wonderful experience. I visited duns river falls, when to the hot spot night club margarita ville, oceans 11, and amnesia. We sang karaoke had great Jamaica drinks and watch the beautiful scenery. All these great attraction only 12mins tops from the villa. However my highlight of the stay is the private beach, only 2min walk from the villa. Great vacation I'm booking another stay for January andirons can't wait...

“A wonderful house in a wonderful setting” My wife and I so enjoyed our time in the Stones' house on a lake. It is beautiful with all the needs any visitor could want. I enjoyed boating on the lake, seeing eagles and other creatures. The folk we encountered in the area were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the local church. “Fantastic” We could not speak more highly of this beautiful and well positioned villa. The managing agents are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. The pool was always warm and inviting. We had the best holiday, largely due to the fact that out accommodation was worry free and great for the quiet days. Thanks to all involved and will definitely be coming again. “Wonderful ajijic” We just got back from 6 amazing weeks and absolutely loved it. Bob and Sharon are excellent hosts, very welcoming and always ready with advice on local attractions and pointing out all the lovely little nearby markets etc. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and you could not beat the location. One block to the lake front and malecon and a couple of blocks to the plaza. There are an abundance of great, reasonably price restaurants, all within walking distance. This was our first trip inland Mexico and we look forward to our next stay in 2014. I should also mention that the weather was great !

“i am reborn” what an amazing experience this winter was,[dec 1-feb17] with these wonderful hosts. i admit reluctance describing how great it was because then there will never be a vacancy!! everything written in the previous reviews is true. i especially liked their friendliness and sociability while respecting my privacy and need for quiet time. ajijic was a wonderful choice for a first-time snowbird and this location was perfect for me. several local acquaintances expressed their approval with very 'green' eyes.

“Cute, convenient, quite cottage.” My wife and I stayed here for four night at the end of July. It is a cute rustic cabin with room for two - four people. It is close to everything in the Traverse area. Nestled on Duck lake peninsula, it is a great place for fishing. I caught 4 large-mouth bass out of the nearby canal alone. The owner is very nice and prompt in her responses. The peninsula has four different spots where you can access the lake. Good if you are looking for a quick weekend getaway!

“A great retreat” Staying here while on vacation (a bit off-season) was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of home. The front porch was a great place to relax and play games with friends, the full kitchen allowed us to share great meals, private lake access made kayaking a blast, and proximity to local restaurants and shops as well as the Chataqua Institute made our trip the perfect combination of fun & relaxation!

“Very nice place for my elderly grandparents to stay!” Very nice place for my grandparents to spend a night. Beautiful, secluded, neat as a pin...would refer to others for sure! Also--very nice trails throughout the campground. Have ridden horse through as trails are nicely groomed.

“Awesome Cabin!!” My husband and I rented this property for the July 4th weekend. His sister and her husband traveled with us. At first we thought we were going to the end of the Earth, but after finding the cabin we were all very pleased. It was very nice! Clean, spacious, and private. Giving each couple their own bedroom and bathroom. Best of all, Liz, is an amazing hostess, checking in with us daily to be sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this cabin for a nice relaxing weekend.

“Great Mountain Vacation” If you want seclusion,beautiful views,walks in the forest this is the place for you. We also brought our 4 wheelers & rode in the National Forest just across the road it was great. The home has everything you can think of, very cozy feel. I lit the fireplace every morning, great to wake up to a warm fire. But I spent most of my time on the deck taking in the views and watching the grandkids enjoying the hot tub.Everyone had a great time.
