Aloha! We are in compliance with Honolulu City and County Ordinance 18-19 (Bill 89), we welcome 30 day renters. The price is negotiable depending on number of occupants and length of stay. Please email owner for questions, current availability and pricing.

Our ohana (family) welcomes you to 'Kauhale' our beautiful Hawaiian home. We offer a large cool and breezy 1000 sq ft, 1 bedroom, 1 bath, private, 2nd floor apartment, includes all utilities, located in a great family neighborhood, vaulted open beam ceilings with 5 ceiling fans, full kitchen, stainless steel appliances, pantry, private washer and dryer, plenty of storage, newly expanded (500 sq ft) large lanai/patio, with sweeping views of Kailua and a flagstone (1st floor) patio with BBQ, hot outdoor shower, granite table and outdoor chairs under a private sunshade.

Fully furnished with everything you need: beautiful art work, comfortable sectional sofa, chairs, vintage rattan dining table and chairs, desk, antiques, wireless internet, 40” LCD Smart HDTV, Netflix, Pandora and more, Blu-ray Disc player, IPod dock/charger with CD player, DVD's, music CD's, books, games, cozy Queen bed with quality linens, pillows, Queen sofa/futon pull-out with memory foam topper, plush towels, shampoo and conditioners, soaps, and more, cookware, bake ware, cooking utensils, dishes, bowls, flatware, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, juicer, microwave, glass ware, wine glasses, and so much more.

A welcome basket of fresh fruit, coffee, Macadamia nuts, and fresh flowers are provided upon your arrival. Beach activity equipment is also available, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach blankets and towels, beach chairs, 2 kayaks, 2 Stand up paddle boards, umbrellas, sunblock and more. We also have 6 bicycles for our guests' use.

Convenient access to abundant dining, shopping, beach, beach activities, hiking, Kailua Town, Honolulu 20 minutes, Honolulu International Airport 25 to 30 minutes, Pearl Harbor, Kaneohe Town, Marine Corps Base Hawaii and so much more. Guest parking in the driveway. Public bus transportation is just a block away.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Patty (the owner) a message.

If Patty (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
