Description

Our cabin is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the gated community of River Country Estates in Piney Creek , North Carolina. We named our cabin " River Perch" because ti sits perched high atop the mountain side giving you beautiful views of the New River and long range views of the mountains. The cabin has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Bedrooms & bath on each level for privacy. There is a family/living room on the main level and also on the lower level. giving you plenty of space to spread out.

Construction on our cabin has just been completed . Well stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances and all new furniture. The utility room is located downstairs with washer & dryer for your use. There is a television and dvd player in both family rooms. Also, a tv in the downstairs bedroom. Two covered wrap around decks to enjoy the views of the river & mountains while relaxing. There are canoe and kayak rentals nearby to explore the scenic river. Other attractions nearby are winery tours, Mount Jefferson State Park, Stone Mountain State Park, and Grayson Highland State Park. To just getaway for the day you can visit attractions at these nearby towns, (Sparta 15 miles, Jefferson & West Jefferson 22 miles, Boone 47 miles.) One of our favorite places to visit is Ashe County cheese plant where you can buy varieties of cheese, homemade fudge, fresh cheese curd, wines, gifts , and souvenirs.

River Perch is the perfect cabin rental for your getaway or vacation. You can enjoy the seclusion & privacy of our cabin's location with the security of being in a gated community. Make our home your mountain home away from home!

“Amazing Cabin”

This was the third time that I have visited a cabin retreat. I have to say this one was amazing. The views were spectacular. The cabin was spacious and very clean. We arrived very late in Friday and Mary was available by phone and guided us into the cabin. Mary was very helpful with all of our needs. Unfortunately we arrived late at night with 6inches of snow so the cabin in downhill and do advise anyone going to the mountains in the winter to have 4WD...lol. because this cabin is sitting on a hill so getting in and out during snow was rough but they came and cleared some of the road on Saturday. The house has 3 bedrooms and two living rooms and plenty of bathrooms. There was 6 of us so we were very comfortable. Mary provided everything you needed as far as towels, pots pans, dishes, etc. This was an awesome weekend and I am definitely glad we chose this vacation spot. You will not be disappointed.
