Getting around

Depending on your time of arrival… Stop in the office (during office hours) to sign in and say Hi to Tana or Megan. They will be glad to help with any local questions. . After normal office hours…Outside the office under the overhang and next to the Pepsi machine is a village lock-box and a phone that is an auto dial-out to the village answering service. Provide your name and the answering service will give you the code for the lock-box. In the box, there will be an envelope with your name on it and the keys to the condo and village information will be in it. Then a short ride up the hill to Juniper Way, a sharp left hairpin turn. After the turn on Juniper Way, #54 Kicking Horse, is on your right.

“Great location and amenities!”

We stayed at this mountainside condo a few times. It's halfway up Big Mountain and offers lots to do, summer and winter.It's also a quick trip to Whitefish, as well as a great place for a home base if you're planning to spend your days in Glacier National Park. The association has an outdoor and indoor pool and tennis courts, if you're not up for hiking. It's nice and quiet and very scenic. Some nights we'd just go for walks around the neighborhood after supper instead of swim. There are also nice hiking trails from Ptarmigan Village to Big Mountain. The condo has large bedrooms and a great view of the western sky and those beautiful sunsets. The kitchen is well stocked and has an outdoor grill on the back deck. The main room is up one level and has a fireplace, deck and huge windows. You feel like you're living up in the trees! It's nicely decorated, too.

My family and I had a great time at Ptarmigan, Big Mountain-Whitefish, MT. We did it all! Went to Glacier National Park, enjoyed Big Mountain, toured the town and relaxed in the hottub! Our favorite part was making meals in a house in the woods. It was so magical being surrounded by cedar trees on a mountainside. Thanks for the memorable stay!

My friend and I were looking for a weekend getaway. Somewhere relaxing and a little secluded, but also not too far from some fun. We found that in spades at this condo. Not only was the unit spotlessly clean, it was also warm and inviting. We were pleased to find an indoor swimming pool and outdoor hot tub in the community center - simply fabulous. We had a great time in town and were close enough for a not-too-costly cab ride home. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a place to stay in Whitefish.

We stayed at this wonderful condo two times and would gladly return for a 3rd if we get back to the area. It is in a beautiful setting 2/3 the way up the mountain on the way to the ski resort. We were pleasantly surprised upon driving up and seeing the rustic looking log cabin style building. The unit was clean and organized and decorated very well showing that the owners take pride in this unit. The time spent there was wonderful! Great views off the deck and out the back. We saw a caribou walking behind the condo unit! Awesome!
