Description

The holiday home IL GELSO DI MONTESERRA is located in the little town of Viagrande, at the foothills of Monte Serra. It is situated admist a traditional Sicilian wine yard, and what is more it is surrounded by a beautiful Mediterranean landscape.

The house can accomodate up to 4 people. It is composed by a large living room with kitchenette and a sofa bed for two people, a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a little laundry.The house is furnished of heating and it is well equipped with every comfort and with great attention to detail.

Outside there is a large terrace with a spectacular view. As a matter of fact you can enjoy the see of the Etna volcano, the old craters and the vineyard situated in front of the house.

Guests can enjoy the large outdoor space with barbecue and parking, the pool. The use the swimming pool is seasonal. Taking into account the weather conditions we usually open it in April and we clouse it in October. What is more the use of the swimming pool is to be shared with any guestes of the second holiday home.

Children up to two years old are free of charge.

In order to confirm the reservation the costumer is asked to pay the 30% of the total amount as a deposit.

The rates are inclusive of all costs, including the consumption of electricity, water, gas, heating, etc.

The setting is determined in 1 euro per person, per number of nights, for a maximum of 7 nights.

Minors up to the age of 12 and over 75 are exempt from paying the tourist tax.

Getting around

Right in front of the holiday home is the Etna Museum which introduces you to the world and history through photos of volcanoes, thematic rooms, multimedia and 3D representations. The space dedicated to the Butterfly House, right next to the Museum, is suggestive. It is a tropical greenhouse where hundreds of specimens, among the most beautiful and extraordinary in the world. Within 10 minutes you can reach the picturesque fishing villages of Santa Tecla, Aci trezza and Acicastello that are characterized by beaches of lava rocks. Then in a short time you can also reach the baroque town of Acireale, the city of Catania and the volcano Etna, where you can do guided excursions. Moreover the beautiful Taormina is half an hour away.
