Description

Grande Albergo Maugeri is a four star hotel in Acireale’s historic centre, a 5-minute walk from Acireale Cathedral, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel has 59 rooms, a restaurant, an American bar, a conference room and 4 meeting rooms. Grande Albergo Maugeri has private parking for cars and space for 2 coaches. The hotel is 1.8 miles from the sea, 12 miles from the centre of Catania and a 30 minute drive from Catania Airport. It is perfectly placed for visiting the most important tourist resorts on Sicily’s East Coast: Taormina (30 min), Etna (35 min), Syracuse (1 hr), Noto (1 hr 15 mins).

Its 59 spacious rooms have bath or shower and include free internet wi-fi, air conditioning/heating, safe, hairdryer, minibar and an LCD TV. All rooms have hardwood floors, co-ordinating furniture and furnishings, and contemporary framed artwork. The bathrooms have large towels and complimentary toiletries and some are equipped with a hydro-massage shower.

In the restaurant “Opera Prima”, which can seat up to 200 guests, our chef’s menu is inspired by traditional Sicilian and Italian cuisine and the sommelier can recommend fine wines produced from the main grapes of Sicily. The elegant and modern American Bar is the perfect place for afternoon tea or a cocktail served by our barman.

The conference room and the 4 meeting rooms, all elegantly furnished and equipped with the most advanced technological systems, can be booked for meetings and special occasion banquets. The new conference room can host up to 200 people who will have at their disposal the latest audio-visual solutions. Our highly qualified hotel staff make each and every event unique.

The conditions are excellent and the staff is very friendly, the rooms are cleaned every day, with care by Antonella and Agatha, who took care of the cleaning very carefully. I highly recommend it.
