Description

The Howler Monkey Hotel is in the rural fishing village of Cabuya, in the jungle of the Nicoya Peninsula located right on the beach just 6 km from the party town of Montezuma. A beautiful location with a lot of indigenous wildlife, especially howler monkeys and iguanas. Most of the property is under shade of the canopy. Snorkeling, sea kayaking, surfing, fishing and bicycling for free with our equipment. We can arrange for ATVs, Scuba, horseback riding and more. Poolside cabinas with private baths, terraces and kitchens. The closest hotel to Cabo Blanco Park Reserve. Secluded paradise. This is a listing for the Howler Monkey Hotel's only mini cabina. It's a very small cabina that has one full size bed that sleeps 2, and does not have a kitchen, nor patio, like the 4 full size Howler Monkey Hotel cabinas have. It has a humble private bathroom on the ground floor, where there is also a desk. Also, the stairs to the 2nd floor is very steep, it is almost a ladder, so those with knee problems or otherwise do not like climbing ladders please be advised. This is a very humble rental with a very basic bathroom and a small but very comfy bedroom, nothing else, so white- heregloved 5-star hotel lovers be forewarned as well. You still have use of the grounds and equipment of the Howler Monkey Hotel, so it's all good, and besides with all the money you are saving you will have more than enough to go out to one of the several excellent restaurants AND pick up some snacks at the local grocery

Getting around

Everything is within walking distance but our guests can use our 2 good quality mountain bikes to go out to shop or eat or otherwise use.for a ride. And of course there is the bus to Montezuma and back which runs several times a day. ATV rentals are available too. However everything is within walking distance, with the local supermarket about 1 km away. 2 good restaurants, including a panaderia (bakery) which makes excellent meals as well as bread and smoothies are closer than that, and several very good restaurants are just a bit further out.

Interaction with guest

We never monopolize our guests' time. But it would be just silly not to chat a bit with all the many intereasting different people who come here from far away.
