Description
Calamocha is a hilltop oasis in Manzanillo, a tranquil beachside locale just 15 minutes north of the bustling Santa Teresa - Mal Pais region. Smartly designed with open verandas and airy rooms, Calamocha was built out of a desire to live intimately within the jungle in a way that is both comfortable and harmonious. The lodge can accommodate up to 20 people in five unique villas, each 1 or 2 bedroom with bath and veranda, three of which come with a fully-stocked kitchen and living room. Each villa is constructed out of rich wood and minimally furnished with smart pieces, maintaining the expansive feeling characteristic of the property while ensuring a comfortable repose for everyone.
Calamocha is a fully-fenced, private resort located off a dirt road in the heart of Manzanillo, best accessed by a 4WD or equivalent vehicle (quad, motorbike, jeep, etc.) Manzanillo is approximately 7 km (4 mi) north of Santa Teresa, or a 15 minute drive. Private parking is available on the property, and we are happy to arrange pick-up and drop-off services whenever you need. In addition, we can assist in or arrange transport from San Jose to Manzanillo on the Nicoya Peninsula.
