“Idyllic!!” We stayed here at Easter break. Fairytale setting for kids with access to the milking in the evening and space to run around all day. The house itself is so well equipped and warm yet very cosy and full of character. The location is ideal, rural setting yet only a mile outside the bustling town of Skibbereen. I cannot praise archies and the welcome we received at abbey Farm Holiday Homes. Highly recommend a visit!!

“Really nice cottage” We did change cottage whilst we where there due to someone booking extra nights in The Haggart, but we did stay in the one next door, and it was a really nice place. Coal fire two bedrooms two bathrooms and a massive open plan dinning/lounge/kitchen area. The grounds of the cottages where really nice and open. We had our little pug puppy and he loved the running around indoors and outdoors. I would really reccommend this cottage to anyone. Its short drives to coastal areas and if you are into seafood there is a great place in Baltimore called The sea front. all in all ten out of ten area and cottage. karl karen and Ziggy

Abbey Farm Holiday Homes - The Haggart

A peaceful, relaxing, picturesque experience.

This is the second time I've stayed at abbeyfarm Holiday Homes of which the Haggart is one of four buildings that surround a pleasant courtyard. The Haggart had a large bedroom and a large fully equipped kitchen/living room area that opened up onto an outside patio. With its secluded setting on a farm it was very quiet. Its location makes a great base for touring the South of Ireland. It is within a half hour drive of Bantry, Clonakilty and the beautiful beach town of Baltimore. If you want a bit of exercise you can walk to the town of Skibereen. As it is self catering you can cook your own meals and keep your guinness cool. Of all the bed and breakfasts and holiday homes I've stayed at in Ireland over the years, Abbeyfarm is the best. For me, after a long day of sight seeing, a good night's rest is paramount. There's no traffic noise, no loud disco, and no loud televisions. There's a lot to be said for thick walls made of stone. … see more
