“A very peaceful location” The cottage was wonderfull, we had a warm reception when we arrived. A nice bottle of wine and some fresh free range eggs awaited us. The countryside and surrounding areas were very pleasant & peaceful. The town was only a matter of 10mins drive away & it was easy to explore the area and further afield. All in all a very good week.

“Fabulous property in a great location” This cottage was much bigger than we expected and very well furnished. The bedrooms were large and there was more than ample room downstairs. Great location for touring the South Lakes region and less than 30 minutes drive to Bowness on Windermere. The local pub has a really good atmosphere with friendly staff and serves a number of real ales and good food. All in all a fantastic option with or without a pet.

“Absolutely delightful!” Raceside Cottage is an absolute jewel of the Lakes! From the scrummy cakes and bread as a welcome gift, to the well thought out books and visitor leaflets for planning days out, Raceside Cottage had it all! We had a relaxing week in august including the dog - the accommodation was of the highest standard and had every utensil you could have needed. The bedrooms were cosy with plenty of storage, lovely bathroom and a great open plan kitchen/lounge. It was just a 15minute walk from the beach and the King William pub 2 mins away, does a fab steak! Although on the West coast, most visitor attractions were within easy driving.

“Cottage holiday in ravenglass” The position of the cottage for exploring the South West area of the lake district is perfect. The accommodation on a working farm had everything you could wish for and was clean and spacious, with a lovely view towards the mountains. The only thing lacking was an outside area to sit and enjoy a barbecue with the lovely view. The owners were friendly and helpful.

“What a great weekend” We went for a 40th birthday and took 16 friends along with us. The house was just great in every way. We enjoyed the space, the kitchen and its cupboards full of stuff, the jacuzzi and the massive lounge with roaring fire. I would recommend this for a great weekend getaway with friends or family. It's in a fabulous location right by the sea and very private. My only bug was it was cold but we did go in November! Would definitely go again.

“everything you could want in a holiday.” we enjoyed the whole experience. good pub up the road. lots of places to visit. plenty of room in the cottage. facilities inside the cottage were excellent. good for disabled as its all on one level. the only downside was that we would have liked a little bit more outside space, as we had two dogs with us.
