“Simply perfect” I am not sure whether this is our 4th or 5th time at this condo as it seems so much like a home from home to us. David is one of the easiest, most helpful, flexible and generous person to deal with and makes the whole experience of renting there so pleasant. The condo is well furnished, comfortable and homely with the owner's personal items still there. He has even installed apple TV this time so that we could watch Netflix during our stay (he also has an iMac there for guests use too). All the facilities and benefits of The Charter are also available and so you benefit from the reception, concierge, bell boys, ski storage, private transport to the slopes, spa, swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi etc. All in all, we can't wait to return again, which must be the best type of recommendation.

“It's a very cozy and nice place. Owner is very responsible and r” My friends and I stayed at Kristina's place for a nice summer weekend getaway! The cabin was very clean and perfect for the five of us! Bedrooms provide privacy and the yard outside is very nice for hanging out! We rode bikes, played frisbee and enjoyed the picnic table while grilling. Kristina even has an extensive DVD collection to watch. Bathroom was remodeled and very nice. This cabin is a great place for friends and family to gather while in Big Bear! The lake is a very simple bike ride away. The house was close enough to town and easy to get to. We would definately come back again :)

“This was a place of calm in a busy world.” My husband and I enjoyed a week at your casita. We found that it was a very comfortable and relaxing stay. We enjoyed the burros and they liked the carrots. It was easy to take day trips to see many of the local sights. Bill is a charming and helpful host. We are recommending your place to our friends.

“Fun Bachelor Weekend” This house was fantastic. We brought 11 guys up for my brother's bachelor party weekend. It was the perfect place for us to stay altogether (comfortably). There were more than enough beds and the kitchen was nice and large. In addition to its size, the location was great - close enough to the general store and the golf course. I highly recommend Heidi's Retreat (and Pine Mountain Club, generally) for a weekend of golf, hiking and even jousting!

“Home from home” At the end of our touring holiday in California, when deciding which had been our favourite location and accomodation, this one came out tops with everyone (mum, dad, and 2 teenagers). Our main reason for going to the area was to visit Yosemite National Park, where we spent two long days. It seemed a shame that we didn't have more time to spend in this beautiful home in its peaceful location. Both of the park entrances were almost an hour away, but through beautiful countryside, so for us it was part of trip. However if someone was wanting to make an early start on some of the trails, they might wish they had chosen a closer location. Mariposa itself was a lovely town, full of character, but we made the mistake of leaving exploring it to the morning we left - and discovered that nothing opened till after 10am - and we couldn't hang around that long. The house was great, and we were completely undisturbed. Having two bathrooms helped speed up our departure each morning. And the two teenagers were glad to have separate beds instead of having to share a double. The big washer and dryer were great (this was the half way point on our tour - we were running low on clean clothes!). The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - I wished I could take it home! Eating outside every morning and evening, in complete privacy (except for the morning visit by the wild turkeys)and quiet, was wonderful. There was absolutely everything we needed, (and a few things we didn't need - like a karaoke machine!) a real home from home.

“Paridise In Big Bear” My husband and I went to the Chalet with our 2 dogs and had a great time. Kiyoe was very welcoming. The place was very clean and homey. Our dogs loved the trails right outside the back door. What we enjoyed the most was the privacy and how quiet the area was. We definitely will go back! Thank you for having us... “Good Stay” The room was great!! 2bdrm fully furnished . Plenty of space. The room was clean and aesthetically appealing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pools were a little shallow and water was a bit cold. Not much in regards to on site dining options. Location was easy walking distance to the Strip. Might consider staying here again depending on my needs.

“Wonderful Place” We went as a family in the beginning of summer for a few days away. Everything was as described. The dining area was perfect to fit all of us together for a family dinner. The deck is perfect to sit and relax with a great view of lake. Everything you need for a BBQ was provided. The living room has a large fireplace , which we used even in the summer! The dock was a little bit of a walk, but well worth it. It is right on the lake with a table to sit and enjoy the lake. The owner was very accessible for any questions we had during our stay. Would definitely rent the place again! Very reasonable for a home so close to lake.
