“A wonderful, relaxing place to stay in Maui” Just what we wanted! The place is very convenient, and has the amenities needed for a relaxing beach vacation, including beach chairs & mats, towels, boogie boards etc. Parking is a breeze, and it's close to the bus line as well. The well equipped kitchen inspired us to eat in most evenings. I would recommend to my friends as family.

“Well equipped and maintained, comfortable and easy access to beach, food and shopping.” This was my second stay at this lovely 1 BR condo in Kihei and I enjoyed it even more. The location is great, just across S Kihei Rd from the beach at the north end of Kamaole Beach #1. You can walk on the beach all the way to Ulua Beach if you want. The place is amazingly well equipped. All you need to cook and toys for the beach. This time, I even discovered two yoga mats in covers and two yoga blocks to go with them. Perfect for home yoga or taking them to the beach yoga classes that sometime happen. It is also possible to walk to good food and even the grocery store. The building has a great pool for afternoon cooling and laundry facilities are available on site. There is a bit of a view of the ocean from the lanai, but the general vista of palm trees and tropical vegetation in the neighboring buildings was quite nice. Never used the AC, screens and fans kept things comfortable. Finally the electronics were great, big screen and lots of music and video service choices.

“Exceptional home away from home!” Just as described, the kihei oasis is an excellent vacation rental. The layout of the home, furnitionings and it's convenient surroundings, I would definitely recommend staying here. The jacuzzi was a hit, but the real bonus was the little amenities that you don't really think of until you need it. I opened the kitchen cabinets and found foil, oil, shoyu sauce and lots of helpful seasonings. The bathroom cabinets also had additional body wash, shampoo, lotion and for kids too. Although we brought our own amenities, I'm glad you have them available especially for large families. Also a garage wall dedicated to fun in the sun activities, boardgames and so much more. Mahalo to the Morts ohana for providing such a lovely home away from home, We definitely enjoyed ourselves!

“Hale Kameole #309 - A great find!!” We ust returned from a glorious holiday to Maui (10 days) and the Molokai (4 days). This is our 7th trip to the Islands, and I fall more in love every time! Maui had last been a destination in 1995 and although we found a lot of changes - much has stayed the same. We stayed, for the first time, in #309 (Hale Kamaole) - a 3rd story condo with an ocean view - renting the unit through Vrbo. This was a very clean and well appointed condo and allowed the four of us (2 couples) ample room and comfotable surroundings. The owner (Brenda) was easy to deal with and always helpful and honest. We loved so much about this location - it's proximitiy to Kamaole 3 Beach (right across the road, and a really great beach in it's own), shopping, dining and, of course, the beaches in Wailea (Ulua and Big Beach). The condo was extremely clean and...well, comfortable - the kind of place that you're anxious to return to after a long and tough day of beaching or shopping. Do not think we missed having cocktails on the lanai one day, watching the sun go down to the tunes of other residents performing their "conch" ceremony (not to be missed). We all loved this place, and would not hesitate to stay here again.

“Second stay in this lovely condo...” We stayed in this condo two years ago and was impressed with the price and comforts of home that we decided to stay a second time. This condo is still the best value in Kihei. We enjoyed the ocean view from the lanai every morning and went boogie boarding and snorkeling at Kam II everyday. Snorkeling was amazing. We saw beautiful fish and turtles each time. The complex is well maintained and clean. We even used the outdoor grill by the pool and it looked brand new. We will definitely be back.

“Wonderful stay in the perfect home. Great golf and beach locatio” My friends and I stayed in this high-end well-appointed home while we were on Maui. Our main purpose was to fit in as many games of golf as possible as our wives shopped and relaxed by the pools and enjoyed the beaches. This plan worked out perfectly since we were located right on golf course and a short walk from the beach. Everyone was more than happy with our accommodations and being able to rent a spacious home in the center of a luxury resort was ideal. This home was an exceptional value when you consider that most of the hotel rooms in the Wailea/Kihei area go for the same price for just one room. Everyone in our group felt as though this was our own home in Maui and we expect we will return again as soon as we can. We highly recommend this place and would like to thank the owners for extending us their every kindness. Sincerely, Don M

“Breath Taking Views” This penthouse is as advertised! Views are incredible. We saw spouting whales daily ( in season) The humpback whale foundation is right next door and you can hear the conch shells at sunset nightly. There is an Indian restaurant downstairs that serves nightly... So convenient. Makenna beach just down the road was our favorite beach... We would love to return someday!

“Great place to stay” Took a chance on a different rental and glad we did. Condo is very well equipped with necessities, clean and in walking distance to beach. There's lots off good restaurants to venture to, plus fast food if care to go that way. Grocery stores near by. Really enjoyed our stay.

“Beautiful condo in Paradise!” Our stay at Ekahi Villiage 11F was nothing short of wonderful. The beautiful, well appointed condo is just a short walk to the pool pavilion and beach. We enjoyed many mornings sipping coffee on the well decorated Lani over looking the manicured grounds and ocean. We will be sure to book 11F again the next time we plan a trip to Maui!

“Near the action yet quiet.” It was a short walk to a beautiful beach and quite a lot of traffic before there but the condo was quiet with the sounds of birds and a cool breeze passing through so AC wasn't needed even in the heat of summer.

“Completely Enjoyed it. Cant wait to return.” We surprised our children with a trip to Maui over their winter break while home from college. When we found this condo open at the last minute, we were a bit leery since it was during the peak season. The surprise was all ours. What a beautiful place!! We could tell the condo had recently been renovated with all new furnishings and amenities. The owner did a wonderful job redecorating and tying the theme together throughout. I'm very particular when it comes to sleeping away from home as you never know how mattresses are going to feel in rentals. I was delighted at how comfortable the beds were and energized each morning when I woke. We truly were in paradise inside and out. The owner was most helpful with booking our trip, especially since it was last minute, providing us with many fun activities to do during our stay. Looking forward to booking our next visit and staying in this beautiful condo.

“Breathtakingly beautiful” From the morning sunrises with coffee on the lanai to the afternoon/evenings watching the turtles this place is simply amazing. It is very quiet away from the hustle and bustle of being near all the hotels yet very centrally located and easy to get anywhere on the island. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back. This will be our Maui home unless we do something crazy and invest in our own piece of paradise

“Family Vacation Paradise” We had our second family vacation stay in the Haleakala Suite and loved it! Tom and Vicki's attention to detail made our vacation so easy and enjoyable. We love the beautiful surroundings, furnishings, and serene atmosphere away from the bustling tourist areas. Yet it's still only a short drive to the beach and excellent restaurants like Mama's Fish House and Hali'imaile General Store. We also spent mornings and evenings in making our own breakfasts and grilling dinners on the patio. The kitchen had everything we needed to make nice home-cooked meals. We made good use of the beach supplies like the cooler, beach towels, and sand bucket. :) Our time at Bamboo Valley Inn was cherished time - especially our daughter getting to visit Tom and Vicki's horse each morning. We're sure this will be a fond memory for her, and we plan to visit again as often as we can. Don't miss out on this gem of a vacation home!

“Enjoyable” The washing machine only works on cool and we should have been told that or have a sign posted. Owner said it needed to be fixed. The gas stove has a couple of burners that would not flame and the ignitor is loose. TV on/off needed reconnection - plug needed retightening No TV station channel guide in unit Office told us to check drip pan under air conditioner; there was not one We left more paper goods than what we found upon arrival. Ample dishware, etc, Could use a couple of serving dishes for salads, vegetables, if owner would like. Exteriors of building and parking need MORE lights

“We liked it so much, we booked again!” In March of 2011, various members of my family decided that we would all meet up in Maui for a big get together. I ended up booking 4 condos in total in the D building at the Kihei akahi. My Dad was the lucky one who ended up in D504. Out of all the units that I had booked, D504 was the best one. It was very clean and decorated quite simply, yet comfortable, with everything you could possibly need from a perspective of kitchen supplies, bedding, towels, and beach paraphernalia. And the view was probably one of the best in the building. The units towards the other end of the floor are a little blocked by palm trees, but D504 had an absolutely stunning view. My Dad was thrilled with his accommodations, so much so that we have decided to go back next spring, and he asked me to book him into D504 again! Prior to going, I had done a lot of research on Kihei condos that are either ocean front or have ocean views. The Kihei akahi absolutely is one of the best condos from a perspective of location and value. The only thing that was not so great about our visit had nothing to do with the unit itself, but more about some of the owners/permanent residents in the D building...my sister had her two young children with her and it was fairly clear that some of the residents were not very tolerant of the behavior of small children, like playing on the grass and the occasional shouting at the pool. I think these units are more suited to older families - we had no problems with our 10 year old daughter, but if you have toddlers, I would recommend staying somewhere that is more suited to families with small children.

“In the Top 3!” We have been coming to Maui for over 30 years. In that time, we have stayed in many different condos and Ohanas(private cottages). This unit was definitely in our top 3. The location was perfect! We could easily walk out our door to grocery stores & post office or restaurants. The unit was a little more spacious than most. They have upgraded the kitchen & bathroom, doing an excellent job on the nice big shower. Being located on the ground floor, with a spacious lanai, & near the BBQs, offered us the opportunity to host a couple of gatherings for 10-12 people. The unit is pretty well stocked with almost anything you"ll need. We loved the king size bed and and the matching furnishings. Having a safe for our valuables was an added & well appreciated bonus. The grounds are well kept, with an excellent swimming pool and outdoor kitchen area. The beach is only a block away. The owners are very responsive to any problem that we had. There were only 2 negatives that we found but which we managed to work around. The w/d are not in the unit. Luckily, they are located right outside the door and there was a change machine at the pool, which helped immensely. The laundry so close, made it less of an inconvenience than we thought it would be & we were there for 6 wks, so we did do laundry. The most negative thing is that this complex bills itself as a nonsmoking complex but has no bylaws to enforce No Smoking on residents who choose to smoke on their lanais. All guests seem to follow the rules and restricted their smoking to the designated Smoking Areas. Unfortunately, the owner/neighbor next to us, even after implored by both the owners and ourselves to please not smoke because it drifted directly into our unit, persisted in doing so and was not reasonable when approached. Luckily, this will not deter us from returning to this unit. We had a mostly wonderful stay and sincerely look forward to more stays in the near future and for years to come.

“Clean condominium with all amenities on beautiful grounds” This condominium was absolutely wonderful and provided all the comforts of home while maintaining the feel of a resort. The photos provided were accurate. The kitchen was clean with new silverware and appliances. The carved cupboards added subtle beauty. The rooms were also clean, beds comfortable, and bathrooms clean and stocked. Views from the lanai were so relaxing. As an added bonus, plentiful beach gear was also provided, which made for fun days at the beach each day. Aside from the condo itself, the location was prime and accessible to each part of the island, which we were able to visit. I definitely recommend renting this condo for your trip to Maui.
