“Property Management company and resident Manager.” Property management company was supportive and provided very helpful concierge information. Was responsive to simple issue that arose and very professional and pleasant. The resident manager at the building was friendly and very informative. A great experience all around.

“Sugar Beach” Just returned from a week stay in Maui and enjoyed our stay at this Condo. Upstairs unit with beautiful view of the ocean from the Kitchen, Living Room and Lanai. The until was well equipped with most of the comforts of home. Our only complaint would be that a few minor items needed repair (would have been nice if the screen on the front door would have been repaired during our stay) and the carpets were in need of cleaning. Nice grounds around this two story complex and a nice long beach footsteps from your door. Located on the quite north end of Kihei on Sugar Beach.

“June in maui” We went to kihei for my husbands birthday. We stayed in kihei beach 506. Everything was wonderful and the condo was very clean. We loved the location. We were very happy being directly on the beach and loved sitting on the deck. The best part was we slept so good on that wonderful bed. I definitely would stay there again if we go back to Maui. “Great Place to Stay” The place was newly remodeled. What you see on the pictures is what you get, not less. The view is great and if you have little kids the little beach in front is perfect for them. We loved it and we will definitively recommend to everybody.

“Amazing” This condo is great -- location is great, condo was perfect for our vacation. Everything you need for your vacation is in the condo. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again.

“Would stay here again without hesitation” Great beach/water location. Loved being able to sit on the Lanai and see whales, dolphins and hear the waves and yet high enough that had complete privacy from anyone on the beach. Great location on Maui (central) which was great for getting to/from other activities. The condo provided our family of 5 with everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. Everything was as expected. The unit is on the 5th floor at the end of the complex away from the elevator so you either use the 5 flights off stairs or a walk from the elevator (but this also gives the privacy). The only two items I would recommend that could be improved were that that the oven took 45 minutes to pre-heat to 400 degrees (minor given that we only used it twice) and it would be nice to have a few water toys included for the kids to use, given that it was such a great beach location. We spent quite a bit of time in the water right in front of the place and it would have been nice for the kids to have a few water toys such as a boogie board, paddle board, or mask and snorkel. This was our first trip to Maui and we are completely happy with this unit and would stay here again.

“Sugar Beach Best” This is an awesome condo. I just wish there was more availability! Other owners at Sugar Beach should take notice of the remodel. If you haven't updated, you really should! The bathrooms at Sugar Beach are so small and if they aren't renovated, the experience is not great. Love the lightness of the paned doors for the bedroom. Many of the Sugar Beach bedrooms feel like caves. This one is light and bright. Plus, a TV in the bedroom. Bonus!!

“All about the view” This place is a bit away from the action and requires one to get into the car for anything from restaurants to nicer public beaches. BUT the views are absolutely fantastic! Sitting down for dinner on our lanai was very special. The sunset was beautiful. The complex was nice with all that you really need: BBQs, Pool, small beach, etc... The unit is well located on the 4th floor to maximise the view. Although the Kitchen has been renovated some other aspects of the unit probably needs renovations. Everything is functional, but aesthetics are just OK. I would still highly recommend.

“Truely a wonderful time, morning, noon and night.” We were here two weeks, we loved our home on the beach. We would definitely stay in 329 again, we went walking on the beach everyday, twice a day. It was clean, and the maids came in once a week to change your linens for you. The best is waking up in the morning, having a cup of coffee and watching the whales you can see from your lanai. Great for a couple who wants a quiet get away together. Only complaint I have is it needs a new couch. Other than that you'll love it.

“Great condo, Great Location!” Great condo, great location! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently returned home from a 10 day stay at Papakea G-407! I wish I could have stayed forever! The condo is in a great location convenient to several gorgeous beaches and a short drive to Lahaina town. We had all the conveniences needed to prepare meals in and enjoyed dinner on the lanai several evenings with a beautiful sunset! Anne provided a great deal of information on the area as well as helpful hints for shopping, sightseeing, etc. The grounds at Papakea are absolutely beautiful! There are two great pools as well as two large jacuzzis. We will definitely return to this condo on our next visit to beautiful Maui! Thank you, Anne and Wes for sharing your home with us! “WHY this is THE B E S T Condo Experience on Kaanapali Beach!!” Why this is the B E S T Condo Experience on Kaanapali Beach!! 1 – The Closest Oceanfront Condo location on Kaanapali Beach 2 – Luxurious Condo with the comforts of home 3 – Gourmet Kitchen with extensive accessories and staples 4 – Condo Owners COMMITTED to Excellent Customer Service 1 – Our family has stayed in every Kaanapali property (excluding the Sheraton) on Kaanapali Beach. They all have their own special characteristics and charm. The Whaler Condo 802 has the best location, comfort, and luxurious amenities. Most of the resorts are all set back from the ocean, and you do not have that feeling of being right on the ocean. Condo 802 is directly in front of the ocean. The soothing ocean sounds truly enhances the level of relaxation during both awake and sleeping hours. The beach in front of The Whaler is one of the best beach sites on Kaanapali Beach for relaxing and swimming. There is a reef directly in front of The Whaler that is good for snorkeling. Black Rock is a short walk from The Whaler that has OUTSTANDING snorkeling and turtle siting opportunities. 2 – The Condo is breathtakingly beautiful and immaculate. The owners, Simon and JaNell, are committed to comfort and luxury. The beds are extremely comfortable. I have sleep challenges “on the mainland” but not in Condo 802. I could not believe how well I slept. This is our 2nd time staying in Condo 802, and I have now stayed in both the guest and master rooms. The sleep situation was outstanding in both rooms. The Master Suite is spectacular. Both rooms are wonderful. However, the Master Suite is incredible! Also, the Lanai is so wonderful. As stated previously, you cannot get any closer to the ocean. We were able to directly watch the whales and site turtles as they swim along the beach line. We even saw a small pod of dolphins swimming close by, as well!! 3 – The kitchen is fantastic! We stayed for 12 nights in Condo 802. (For this trip, we decided to stay more days and dine out less.) We prepared the majority of our meals in the condo. (Martha Stewart would not be disappointed.) Every kitchen utensil and appliance is available. Spices and staples are on hand. We had many gourmet dinners, and we were never deficit for the proper accoutrements. 4 – Simon and JaNell Zemel are outstanding owners. We have stayed in many other Whaler condos. All of The Whaler owners have been wonderful. However, Simon and JaNell set a very high bar for customer service. Shortly after our arrival we received a welcome call from JaNell. She called to ensure that everything in the Condo was accommodating our needs, and she wanted to make certain that we were enjoying our stay in their home. The owners are immediately responsive to any request or issue. We had a minor garbage disposal malfunction. It was immediately addressed and resolved. Simon and JaNell are committed to making your experience in Condo 802 to be relaxing and luxurious. I believe the difference in staying at a 5 Star Resort, and The Whaler Condo 802, is that Condo 802 feels like home. There are wonderful kitchen supplies, toiletries, and laundry supplies. Condo 802 is also stocked with beach gear, which eliminates the need to rent beach gear that you may need during your vacation. Again, the owners are outstanding. They make you feel like you are close friends staying in their home. The only negative issue is leaving. The reentry into reality is very tough after staying at The Whaler Condo 802.

“Hideaway for Best Getaway” Location: We travelled all over the island, seeing every little nook and cranny. What we realized was that our home base, the "Hideaway" is ideally located on the island. You're centrally located between Kihei (our favourite town), the airport, Lahaina, et al. You're also near some of the best beaches around, including Sugar Beach, the one on which the Hideaway sits, which has one of the best views on all of the island. One suggestion is to stop to get supplies from one of the major grocers near the airport, when you first arrive, to get a firm base of what you need: beer, snacks, meat, veggies, etc. Then you can shop at the nearby general stores for convenience or 10 minute drive to Foodland for following shopping needs. Amenities: The "\Hideaway has everything you need to operate comfortably: dishes, utensils, bedding, beach supplies, cleaning supplies, washer/dryer, brand new oven/stove, brand new TV/sound system, etc. The balcony has the best view. The unit being on the second floor is great in that you get an elevated view but you're still quick to access parking or the pool by elevator or stairs. Facilities: The pool area is superior in its craftsmanship and comfort. It has the only Jacuzzi in the area. You wouldn't think something like this would be necessary in a hot area but it's amazing, especially in the hot, bright sun. One of, if not the biggest highlight about this building is its proximity to the ocean. Not only is there no road between your balcony and the ocean but you're so near to it that you can see the sea turtles floating by. Apparently this luxury of being so close to the ocean is not something you'll see anymore on Maui as they have changed their regulations so that buildings need to be built much further from the ocean. Owners: Accommodating to the max. Wendall and Sally only want you to have the best possible experience on Maui and in the Hideaway. I can't even go to the lengths at which Wendall went to make sure our stay was excellent, suffice to say that it couldn't have been as good without having them to help us out. Conclusion: If you can get in to the Hideaway, go with the opportunity and you will be happy you did.

“This Place Has Everything You're Looking for on Maui” We really enjoyed staying at Maui Kai 806. The setting suns and moons as well as the layout of the unit, and the extremely helpful staff (especially Rowena) made our stay wonderful. We would recommend this place to our closest friends and relatives. It is ideally situated with access to all that Maui has to offer. Close to terrific beaches (snorkeling, sunning, etc.), close enough to beautiful sightseeing around Maui, and access to wonderful Lahaina, this place is simply amazing. It was my first trip to Hawaii and definitely a 5 star stay. This place rocks!

“Completely Enjoyed it. Cant wait to return.” We surprised our children with a trip to Maui over their winter break while home from college. When we found this condo open at the last minute, we were a bit leery since it was during the peak season. The surprise was all ours. What a beautiful place!! We could tell the condo had recently been renovated with all new furnishings and amenities. The owner did a wonderful job redecorating and tying the theme together throughout. I'm very particular when it comes to sleeping away from home as you never know how mattresses are going to feel in rentals. I was delighted at how comfortable the beds were and energized each morning when I woke. We truly were in paradise inside and out. The owner was most helpful with booking our trip, especially since it was last minute, providing us with many fun activities to do during our stay. Looking forward to booking our next visit and staying in this beautiful condo.
