“Good location - friendly host.” The apartment was very clean and comfortable and Pino was extremely friendly and helpful with lots of good tips and information. He kept in touch by text throughout our week long visit. The area is local and not touristy, the apartment is set back in a block away from the road. There is a small supermarket across the road, and a market nearby and a good takeaway pizza restaurant. Access to the centre is very easy with a choice of buses and the tram only a few minutes walk away. The garden is a bonus for evening meals outside. When we stayed it was extremely hot, 38 degrees all week, there is a ceiling fan in the main bedroom but the other room where our sons were staying would have benefitted from a couple of portable fans. The mosquitoes were also out in force so I would advise plenty of deet insect repellent and citronella candles in the height of summer, there is fly screen on the main bedroom windows but not on the others. Make sure you pre-book the Vatican museums so you skip the queues which are very long, the bus around the corner takes you almost directly to St Peter's Square. It is also worth pre-booking tickets to the Colosseum. The park over the road is ideal for a leisurely Sunday picnic and makes a change from the hustle and bustle of the city. We would stay again but we would probably choose Spring or Autumn.

“A gem near Orvieto” We loved agriturismo Frallarenza, near Orvieto. We were 3 women staying in the "small apartment", which was a perfect size. The owners, Francesco and Serena, have the gift of ensuring your needs are met (and exceeded) but allow you to explore and enjoy on your own, while they tend to the hard work of running a farm. Their kindness, enthusiasm and passion for what they do is apparent.The apartment was enhanced with family furniture and hand made ceramics and weavings by Serena. Enjoying the bounty of the land, such as their newly pressed olive oil, fresh fruit eggs, as well as Serena's treats were a highlight. The house is solar powered, and there was always hot water and heat when needed. (We were there in a warm late October, but the nights and mornings were cool.) Francesco spent unhurried time with us, giving us ideas and maps for our day trips. We stayed for 4 nights, but wished we had more time to slow down and savor Frallarenza. The setting among the groves and the Umbrian hills was magical. Highly recommended!

“relaxing” .Outstanding view, convenient location, big, roomy space, with all the amenities . Norma was quick to answer all questions and did her upmost to accommodate us. The owner of the apartment picked us up at the train station and greeted us with a bottle of wine, coffee, pasta etc. Apartment very clean and spacious. Highly recommend

“Highly recommended Roman apartment” My family and I recently enjoyed a weeks stay in this lovely apartment. The price was very reasonable for the amenities and location provided. Our stay was very comfortable and it didn't take long to travel to any of the major sightseeing locations. Gabriele was a very gracious host throughout the stay and was happy to help. “A great holiday expierience” We stayed 10 days in Spoleto and cannot wait to return. Laurie and Norma are an absolute pleasure to deal with and the service they provide is first class. “Lovely Italian villa” Our family of 2 kids (8 & 11) and 2 adults spent a lovely 5 days in Cala Sabina. The pool and the 2 friendly dogs were a hit, the villa is very well equipped with everything you need if you would like to cook for yourself and the views are beautiful. Nicola the owner is very helpful and even provided us with home made (still warm) tomato sauce, homemade olive oil , jam and limoncello to complement the stay. There is a good pizzeria down the road if you prefer eating out. We would definitely recommend this villa to others visiting the area . Be warned if you drive in and out of rome for a day trip you may need nerves of steel to negotiate the Roman streets especially at evening rush hour (getting to the villa from the airport and around the countryside was no problem)- taking the train is probably a better bet .

“A comfy home away from home.” Ideally located apartment in a lovely quiet apartment block. 10 minutes walk to Vatican and metro. The apartment is large with all modern comforts. The local area has an excellent bakery and supermarket, there's also some excellent local restaurants. Could not speak more highly of our stay.
