“Magical” My husband and I have stayed in ivy cottage,its very comfortable and cosy especally with the open fireplace plenty of room for holiday cottage and all essential's catered for and lots of pease and quite. There is plenty to do in the surrounding areas golf only 9km in Templemore,fishing and plenty of walks and sightseeing,but just to sit in the picknic area and look across to the fields and mountains is really breathtaking,plus walking around pet farm. Our host Mr M Odonnell is most welcomning making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your holiday to the full.

“Beautiful, Warm & Welcoming” We set out on a journey to discover our heritage and see if we had any living relatives in Co. Mayo Ireland. We arrived on an unseasonably cold and blustery day so when we opened the door to the house and were welcomed by the warmth of heat we were delighted. Teach Mo Chroi' was our home base but turned out to be so much more. It is truly a lovely home. The rooms were very spacious and the beds incredibly comfortable after a long day of touring. The kids enjoyed playing soccer and especially the tire swing, but the highlight was watching the fathers and sons play basketball together. It turned out to be one of the best family vacations we've ever taken. There were so many places to visit in the area; a boat ride from ashford Castle to the island was among our favorites. But don't miss Ballintubber abbey, Achill Island, Climbing Croagh Patrick and especially the nightlife in Westport town. Everything was so easily accessible and convenient. The home is furnished with everything you could possibly need or want for cooking, and with so many Satellite channels it was easy to keep the kids entertained. Maura our hostess was warm and friendly and helpful. We were especially impressed with how clean the home was when we arrived and how easily it handled our large group of 11 adults & children. I will recommend the home to others and hope we can find another excuse to visit again in the future. If there was any disappointment it was that we were unable to find any living relatives but our visit to Mayo and Teach Mo Chroi more than made up for that disappointment.

“Very relaxing stay at this wonderful retreat.” This place exceeded our expectations in every way. We really liked it! The caretakers of this location were very helpful and provided us with lots of information that made checking in very simple and straightforward. They also had a little book with all the info we'd need to find/use amenities in the house. The house was very spacious and we appreciated the many books/tourist pamphlets that were made available to us. The area is very quiet and relaxing and the view behind the house is spectacular. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone, particularly large families looking for a place to stay while in Ireland. The house is close to many attractions and very accessible.

“Fox Tales in Ireland” Ten members of my family, plus the boy friend of my oldest daughter, eleven people in all, spent 11 days at Lisheen castle in November, 2009. The ostensible purpose was to try to track down information about my great grandparents, all of whom had come to America from Ireland during the potato famine, 1845 to 1855. We chose this castle as being fairly close to Clogher, where my great grandfather, John Fox had, we thought, been born and lived until he emigrated to England in 1851, and thence to the United States in 1853. Using the castle as headquarters, we spread out in 3 cars and visited many communities in Tipperary and elsewhere, checking churches, cemetaries, heritage centers and , most of all, pubs. We had some luck, but mostly we ran into mysteries. For one thing, I believe now that John Fox came from Clogheen, not Clogher, so we were aimed at the wrong target for him. If our stated purpose of tracking down ancestry information met with only limited success, the experiences we shared living together, planning and carrying out each day's activities, and just plain enjoying each other's company were truly memorable. I know I will keep these memories close to me as long as I live. It was cold. But there was warmth of a high order among us in the castle. The spectacular location, sweeping views, historical surroundings, and friendly atmosphere made the visit spectacular. The Everards are friendly, outgoing, and extremely helpful and caring people. We all enjoyed ourselves. I don't see how we could ever have a more enjoyable and meaningful vacation. Anywhere.

“Amazing Short Break” Had 4 days in this beautiful cottage in the heart of Connemara - Great weather - sunny all days - walks on the beach and mountains - great golf and fantastic food in Clifden plus a few beers as the sun was setting. 2 adults and 2 teenage kids - just what the doctor ordered for a stress free break at Easter. Many options for accommodation in the West but this comes highly recommended - authentic cottage, super clean, traditional, rustic, warm and comfortable. €5 euro in a taxi from Clfden. Cottage is very private and set on river/stream with closest living critters being birds, otters and sheep - no noise - bliss. “Really nice cottage” We did change cottage whilst we where there due to someone booking extra nights in The Haggart, but we did stay in the one next door, and it was a really nice place. Coal fire two bedrooms two bathrooms and a massive open plan dinning/lounge/kitchen area. The grounds of the cottages where really nice and open. We had our little pug puppy and he loved the running around indoors and outdoors. I would really reccommend this cottage to anyone. Its short drives to coastal areas and if you are into seafood there is a great place in Baltimore called The sea front. all in all ten out of ten area and cottage. karl karen and Ziggy

“The Wedding” A wonderful setting Mary and aiden will give you a very warm welcome.Its a working dairy farm and you can witness the cows being milked. The farm is very close to Skibbeeen which canbe walked or by car. If your staying in West Cork this is the place for solitude and relaxation

“Wonderful location” We were three adults enjoying a short break in the Dingle Peninsula. Brandon Mountain Cottage was very comfortable and spotless throughout. Great attention to detail here. The kitchen was well fitted out and lots of throws and rugs ensured we were comfy on chilly evenings. The views from the house of Brandon Bay and the mountains beyond were spectacular. A lovely walk to the beach as well as a vigorous climb to the summit of nearby Mount Brandon, added to the joy of our stay. Linda was very helpful and made us feel very much at home.

“Comfort in Connemara” Wow, this has got to be one of the best cottages you will find in Ireland. The house is beautiful, functional, comfortable, roomy, and a great value. I loved it. It was hard to leave to go explore western Ireland as the accommodation itself was so delightful! Thank you Liz for opening this house up to travelers and for putting your heart into the home. It was beautiful!
