Recently renovated with new floors, bathroom, linens, beds and more.

If you're going to Hiawassee for the Georgia Mountain Fairground, hiking in North Georgia, pickleball, visiting Young Harris College, or you want to get in Lake Chatuge look no further! Our property covers the entire point so it feels secluded, yet oh-so-convenient as we are a half mile from the grocery store and town and only 2.4 miles from the fairgrounds.

Please note this is a "private room" in our home, but in reality it's a room+ -- the first floor of our 2,000+-sq/ft-home. Entry is lakeside, giving you your own entrance. You'll have plenty of privacy, but note there is an open stairwell between the two floors, so if you are in the main area you may hear us but will not see us. More than 115 5-star reviews are a testament to guests’ experience.

Sheets are 100% cotton sheets and laundered with unscented detergents and no added chemicals from fabric softeners.

The large den area has an eating/game table, plus 2 leather recliner sofas and leather chair recliner, and a 55" HD TV.

In the buffet area are:

-microwave

-countertop convection oven/toaster

-coffee pot, French press, electric kettle

-mid-sized refrigerator

-wine opener and cheese board

-coffee mugs, wine glasses, plates, bowls, and silverware.

It’s tidied up daily so you always have clean tableware.

Outdoor is a Weber gas grill. We supply grilling utensils but you'll need to bring related supplies, such as foil, and spices other than salt and pepper.

On the large patio is a fire pit, table and chairs, a hanging swing, and zero gravity lounge chairs. The area is partially covered so you can stay out of the sun - or not!

In addition to 270-degree+ views and a nice, constant breeze, relax in the double hammock, or dock swing. The dock is verrrrrry close and we have two kayaks (one 2-seater and one single), life vests, a paddleboard and floats for your use. There's nothing like getting out on the water for an early swim or kayak or ending a day of hiking or exploring with a jump in the lake. We will even supply beach towels.

In the winter, the views of the surrounding mountains are gorgeous and snuggling under luxurious blankets, or getting exercise on long walks or hikes is the order of the day.

Either Mike or Peggy, the owners, can offer tips on the local area, but our goal is to be as unobtrusive as you want.

There is no public transportation. Uber and Lyft are also not available. Getting around by car or boat is the ticket.

Interaction with guest

Either Mike or Peggy, the owners, can help with recommendations or are more than happy to help get you set up for kayaking, paddle board or even renting a boat or jet ski. This is a room and space in our home so you may hear us when you are in the den area due to the open stairwell, but you have the first floor to yourselves. The owner's boat slip, jet ski and upstairs kitchen and spaces are not included with this rental.

If Peggy and Mike (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
