Description

Our country house has 4 apartments to rent. This apartment is on the first floor and is made up of a living/dining room, two double bedrooms, one single bedroom. The kitchen area has a four-ring hob and a gas oven with grill, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Bathroom with shower. Satellite TV, DVD and radio. Free WiFi Internet. Bed linen, towels, tablecloths, dishtowels etc. are provided. There are two large furnished terraces with grill. A laundry room is available for guests as are the five-a-side football pitch, a swing, children's games, table tennis, bicycles and a communal parking area. Pool and wirlpool. A child's cot is also available.
'Vigna Licia' is located in the heart of the nature reserve 'Decima-Malafede', the biggest one into an European city (6000h). The beautiful 'Campagna Romana', the Roman country, so many beloved from Goethe, surrounds the property. The community consists of a number of separate houses. Despite that, a well-stocked shop, a butcher, tennis courts, a public swimming pool and horse riding are all available here. You can spend a relaxing holiday in the country and still be in the immediate vicinity of Rome. Vigna Licia is only 18 Km from the centre of the city and 9 Km from the ring road (GRA). The sea is also not far with the beautiful beaches of Torvaianica and Pratica di Mare only about 15 Km away. The Roman castles in the villages of Rocca di Papa, Grottaferrata, Albano and Ariccia, the spectacular summer residence of the Pope and some fabulous lakes are only 15 Km away. Just a few steps down the road from Vigna Licia, there is a small grocer's and a butcher's.

Getting around

There is a good public transport service connecting Vigna Licia with the centre of Rome. Every 30 / 45 minutes, the 703 bus travels to the “EUR Fermi” station on “Linea B” of the Rome Metro (Underground) system. From there, you can quickly reach the historical centre of the city and the Vatican without having to worry about parking. If you would rather use your car, you can drive to the EUR-Laurentina station on “Linea B” of the Metro in about 15 minutes. There is a huge car park that can accommodate over 1000 cars and it will only cost you € 1,50 (for a stay of up to 12 hours).

“Very good apartment in lovely setting”

Stayed at Vigna Licia 1 with husband and 2 adult children. Licia, the owner gave us excellent tips about the area and was incredibly helpful, purchasing travel cards and food before our arrival. The apartment is on the first floor with balconies front and back and was very clean and well equipped. The kitchen is quite small but perfectly adequate and the dishwasher was an unexpected bonus. There are fans in all the bedrooms but not the living room which, since Rome was much hotter than normal for the time of year, would have been welcome. Swimming pool and grounds were excellent and very well maintained. The local shop was very good when we didn't want to drive to the bigger supermarkets. The apartment is excellent for a visit to Rome if you want to stay outside the city. We hired a car but there are buses that pass the door. The road to Rome is dreadful - road works making it even worse, but once on the metro it was fine.
