Description from owner

Description

Close to the Roman Forum, just a stroll from the Colosseum, this small and luxurious apartment for 4 people placed in the middle of the Roman remains is the perfect synthesis of ancient and modern: cozy low ceilings with ancient wooden joints, original walls from 1500, decorated with furniture and lamps of famous designers and all the comfort you may desire.

Welcome to HomesSweetRome: we are based in the middle of the oldest neighborhood of Rome, the “Rione Monti”, which has maintained alive its popular spirit. Now, as back in the old times, the whole area is a lively labyrinth of shops, craftsmen, restaurants, taverns, bars, trendy clubs, art galleries, antique shops and much more. It is here that Julius Caesar was born in 100 B.C. and that Nero’s Great Fire of Rome took place in 64 A.D.: these narrow streets are the true testimony of Rome’s history… prepare to sleep in the middle of all of this!

HomeSweetRome’s apartment is a mezzanine on the first floor, composed of a bedroom with a double bed, a living room with a sofa-bed for 2 people and a bathroom with shower. Inside you will find all you need for the best holiday in Rome: air conditioning and independent heating, LCD TV with DVD player, washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board, tourist guides and maps. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooking plate, fridge, freezer, electric and microwave ovens, water kettle, orange squeezer, bread toaster, coffee machine and much more to allow you to cook your own meals.

Nearby, if you wish, you can rent bicycles and scooters. However, the subway is at only 5 minutes walking distance, but more importantly, HomeSweetRome is truly in the heart of Rome, from here you can quickly walk to:

Roman Forum - 1 min.

Colosseum - 5 min.

Trevi Fountain - 7 min.

Pantheon - 10 min.

Piazza Navona - 15 min.

Campo de’ Fiori - 15 min.

Vatican Museum - 20/30 min.

City taxes: €3,50 per person per night, for a maximum of 10 nights payable cash at your arrival. •Children under the age of ten are exempt.

Response from the owner I'm so sorry you had all these problems. This is the first time it happens The ancient low ceiling are properly described in the ad; the bedroom's window doesn't leads into another building, but on a back entrance's staircase, wich is why it's very quiet. The bed is "equipped" with 3 different set of pillows: latex, feathers and foam, so you can choose wich one you prefer!!! The window is equipped with a darkening curtain. More then once in the 15 days you stayed I asked you if everything was alright and if you needed something. If you had complaints you could have said so during the stay, I would have done my best to help you, saying it later and without first telling me is rude.
