“Perfect apartment in the middle of Rome”

Reviewed 20 Nov 2013

My husband and I stayed here during our recent trip to Rome and could not have been happier. The apartment is within walking distance to many of the sites is the city, i.e. Palentine Hill, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc. We even walked over the Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori one of the days. There are tons of great restaurants within walking distance as well. This apartment is also right by the Metro, which made it very easy to get to the Vatican and some of the other sites a bit further out. The apartment itself was fantastic. Very modern bathroom and a fully stocked fridge! We loved being able to make ourselves a Nespresso every morning that we sipped while we planned our daily activities. Clara even left us the most delicious blood orange juice, which was a treat for us americans :) The neighborhood is quite lively on the weekends with lots of little bars in the area. The one downfall was the height of the ceiling. My husband and I are both close to 6 feet tall and had to worry about bumping our head on the door frame coming in and out of the apartment. If you are on the shorter side, this place will be perfect for you. However, if you are over 6 feet tall, you may be crouching your entire time in the apartment. Overall, the place was wonderful and we will book it again our next time in Rome.

“Fantastic week in Rome”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2013

My husband & I spent a wonderful week in Rome in early July at this very comfortable & well appointed apartment. It is located on a small quiet street with a few shops & restaurants. We were able to walk to almost all of the major historical sites from this location. The Colosseum & Forum were the closest...just a few blocks away. Clara had stocked the pantry with some essentials & we were able to get other food items at a store just down the street. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Rome & would gladly stay here again on our next Roman holiday.

“A very beautiful apartment”

Reviewed 27 May 2013

A very beautiful and tranquil apartment in an amazing bohemian neighborhood, in the heart of Rome. The apartment has everything you need, as for your own home. Clara was a great host and helped us with everything we needed. We always return with pleasure at HomeSweetRome and warmly recommend it to anyone.

“a wonderful time in Clara's house”

Reviewed 15 May 2013

We stayed at Clara's flat for 7 nights at the beginning of april (a couple with a 3 yrs old child). We had a wonderful time! Clara is a generous host, she made sure everything will be perfect from adding an extra bed for our child down to all the rest of the facilities in the apartment. She even helped us soften our late night landing time by offering to buy us some food for the next morning. The apartment is in a very good situation all seems new & clean the only thing is it might be difficult for tall people because the entrance door is short. The location of the apartment is great! Close to everything by walking! We used a few buses because of our child, but otherwise most of the places are really close (also public transportation is a short walk). The neighborhood is fun with a nice atmosphere & a few nice restaurants & pizza. We appreciate our good luck for finding Clara and her apartment!

“a beautiful romantic apartment”

Reviewed 15 May 2013

We stayed three nights in Clara's flat, located in Roma's coolest district : Monti. The location is fabulous, in a little street close to the Coliseum, and right at the door, you can find a lot of great cafes and hip restaurants. Plus anyone of Roma highlights are accessible by cheap cabs. Speaking of the flat, it is incredible ! It has just been renovated, and everything is spotless clean and modern (the bathroom ammenities are stunning !). You can feel yourself in a 4-5 star hotel, given the level of detail. We particularly liked the ancient bricks, and the wooden beams, that gave it a really romantic feel to it. The owner, Clara, was so kind to us, and i have to say, that it was hard for us to leave her great home. This is definitely a flat we'll recommend to anyone visiting Roma. And we can't wait to go back !

“Wow, wow, wow ... The place to stay when visiting Rome”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2013

The unit is lovely. So thoughtfully set up. Clara and her son Lorenzzo are very helpful hosts concerned about all our comforts. They have thought of everything when they set it up. They they even set up a portacot for our 3yr old daughter even though we didnt make the request. Only wish we were here longer. Location is walking distance to many of the Roman sites. Cost us around €25 by taxi from the train station.
