“Location, location, location”

Reviewed 17 Apr 2014

The very best aspect of this apartment was for sure the location - just a few blocks from Piazza Navona and across the bridge from the Vatican. This is a studio apt and three adults were very comfortable. The bed is actually a murphy bed, but adequate for a short stay. Bathroom is renovated and bright. Apartment was also on a quiet street, so no trouble resting after a full day of touring the sights. I have to add, though, that the kitchen is not very well stocked - just the bare minimum utensils/plates, etc. so plan ahead if you plan to cook. We had some trouble finding the place, and after some negotiating at the tourist kiosk, Olivia arranged for someone to come find us and escort us which was very much appreciated. Enjoy beautiful Rome!

Response from the owner Dear Rosalie, Thank you ver y much for your review and for leaving the apartment in good condition. It was a pleasure to welcome you. However It is very important to know what did you expect to find in the kitchen corner: pots / pans / salad bowl / cutting board / strainer / juicer / cutlery / plates / glasses / mugs / cups / Moka - microwave / electric hot plates (for security reasons) / fridge. But is it possible that I have forgotten something important. I consider very important the suggestion of my guests. I hope to hear from you soon. Olivia

“Amazing location, cute apartment, great city!”

Reviewed 11 Mar 2014

This was my first time in Rome and Olivia made our stay amazing. The apartment is located in the middle of everything just a short walk to Navona and the vatican. We found the whole city quite walkable from that location though. The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed including a kitchen supplies and a great big bathroom. It fit the three of us easily and four would have been no problem plus the pull out couch was almost more comfortable than the bed so no issues there. The street was very safe and quiet and even had christmas lights strung across it in an almost magical fashion. Around the corner is everything you could need including amazing restaurants, gelato, markets, grocery stores and all the roman sights. There is also a book where guests put in their messages and tips for the city (which was really nice and helpful!) as well as a place for good restaurant business cards. If you are thinking of staying in an apartment in Rome I can think of no better place! The only downside I could think of is that there are some steep stairs to climb (an elevator for luggage at least) but that is normal in Europe and its not that many steps. Also, at two different points our power went out for a while but went back on an hour or so later. Overall amazing apartment though!

Response from the owner Thank you Morgan, It was a pleasure to welcome you! I hope to see you again in Rome. Olivia

Olivia is a wonderful host who will help you with anything. The apartment was exactly like the photos and very comfortable. It is in a very safe area which was conveniently located to everything within walking distance. The bus stop is just outside too! We love staying in old buildings and the ceilings in Olivia's apartment where beautiful to look at before sleeping! Thank you Olivia we will be back...

“Excellent location, comfortable room, with aC”

Reviewed 1 Dec 2013

We (a couple) spent 5 nights here is late October. I chose the apartment due to the location and it was even better than I could tell from google maps. The location is excellent. I always felt safe. We asked Olivia to set up a driver to pick us up at the airport. Olivia met us as we arrived which eliminated any difficulties with finding the apartment or unlocking the doors on arrival. On departure, we were allowed to stay a little longer to make train travel to the cruise ship timing better. We have rented apartments in other cities and Olivia's support at arrival and for departure makes the difference between a Good and Great experience. We walked almost everywhere. There were top tourists sites, bus and tram stops, a taxi stand, grocery store and many excellent choices for lunch and dinner nearby. The apartment is accurately shown in the photos. It is small but as our next stop was a cruise ship there was plenty of room. The room was comfortable and quiet. There is a central cooling / heating system which was a nice surprise on warm nights. We only used the kitchen area for a cold breakfast, making coffee and afternoon snacks and it met our needs. We were able to hand wash and hang dry laundry in the bathroom area. The bathroom area is modern. The water tastes good and there was sufficient hot water for showers. We used the wifi daily. The building had a lot of charm. There are about 40 stairs to get to the room. We rarely saw other people in the building. We were able to use the lift on arrival to help bring up the luggage. There is a very good restaurant next door open for lunch and dinner. I would book this apartment again. If traveling with another couple we would rent both units. I would recommend this to a friend.

You can't do better for walking in Rome than this location. Just check out Chiesa Nuova on any map. Comfortable double bed, closet, WiFi, tiny kitchenette, nice bathroom. Nice people and good food at the restaurant on the ground floor.

“Terrific apt and wonderful location!”

Things could not have worked out better. Lovely Roman apartment in the middle of all the wonderful places to visit. Also, many good rest and caves and a full grocery store on the corner. A taxi stand also at the end of the street and buses close by. We had a lovely stay and would certainly return. Ciao!

Response from the owner Thank you Joseph...I will wait for you next time in Rome Olivia

“Great efficiency for two people”

Very good location, centrally located between key sightseeing spots. Wonderful choices for small restaurants very close by - and a Carrefour express! Easy access to Roma Termini via bus #40. Some morning noise from the street if you sleep in with windows open.

“Wonderful place!”

Great location, clean, updated and quiet. The restaurant, Tattoria Brasiere, right next to Residenza Sansoni serves good food, has free wi-fi and the staff is excellent. Residenza Sansoni is a gem and a great place to stay!
