Very Good

“Good location - friendly host.”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2015

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and Pino was extremely friendly and helpful with lots of good tips and information. He kept in touch by text throughout our week long visit. The area is local and not touristy, the apartment is set back in a block away from the road. There is a small supermarket across the road, and a market nearby and a good takeaway pizza restaurant. Access to the centre is very easy with a choice of buses and the tram only a few minutes walk away. The garden is a bonus for evening meals outside. When we stayed it was extremely hot, 38 degrees all week, there is a ceiling fan in the main bedroom but the other room where our sons were staying would have benefitted from a couple of portable fans. The mosquitoes were also out in force so I would advise plenty of deet insect repellent and citronella candles in the height of summer, there is fly screen on the main bedroom windows but not on the others. Make sure you pre-book the Vatican museums so you skip the queues which are very long, the bus around the corner takes you almost directly to St Peter's Square. It is also worth pre-booking tickets to the Colosseum. The park over the road is ideal for a leisurely Sunday picnic and makes a change from the hustle and bustle of the city. We would stay again but we would probably choose Spring or Autumn.

“Friendly and confortable”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2015

Staying at Pino`s place was a very good experience. The apartment is confortable. It was neat and clean. It has a nice garden to have breakfast or dinner in summer time. It is also very well located, neighborhood is quiet and safe. You will find supermarket, bank, transportation, restaurants at walking distance. And, it just take 15 min by bus to move to down town. Pino is great host!! his indication on how to move, where to go and where to eat, were very usefull for us in order to profit our stay in Rome!

“Easy location. Great accomodations. Terrific host.”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2015

The reviews do not lie. Pino was an amazing host. After a mix-up about him picking us up from the ferry (my email did not go out to him to confirm arrangements), he STILL graciously offered to pick us up starting our time in Rome with safety and ease. We were able to learn a lot about the area while we drove in. Pino is very easy to talk with and ask questions. He is very organized about his accommodations which not only included the beautiful apartment and patio, but clear instructions how to use transportation and areas of interest. He then kept in touch with us throughout our visit making sure we were having a good time or offering assistance. The area of the apartment is very quaint and very local. Some people had a hard time with English but we managed. ** You will not be able to get a bus ticket in the area so do as the locals. We tried several Tobacco shops and almost missed a tour trying to track one down the first day until an American saw us near the bus and informed us that no one sells them around there and just get on. Pino will tell you so too... I highly recommend this apartment if you would like to see more of the real Rome and not the touristy areas yet want to be able to get to the touristy areas without too much trouble. We would definitely stay there again. ** Most of the restaurants and stores right there close up "early" so be sure to use Tripadvisor or such to find a restaurant open a few blocks away.

“Perfect place for a memorable vacation in Rome”

Reviewed 24 May 2015

Our vacation in Rome was made memorable because of Pino's hospitality and attention to his guests. He briefed us on what to do/where to eat/what places to visit right after we arrived and checked on us during the day to see if we were okay.. The apartment is very clean and organized. We loved that the kitchen was well furnished with utensils and when we were too tired to eat out, we could manage cooking our own meals. The supermarket is across the street. Buses to the Vatican is a 1-minute walk. We hope to come back sometime and stay here again!

“Our nice and personal stay in Rome”

Reviewed 12 May 2015

“Great place to stay in Rome”

Really nice appartment, clean & well equipped. Close to supermarket & well served by public transport. Pino the owner is a true ambassador for Rome, he provided endless amounts of useful information & help to ensure that our stay in Rome was truly memorable. Would certainly hope to stay here again.

Response from the owner Thank you! And I will wait to host you again! But this time I want you with your own halfs, I have tons of romantic places to suggest you yet ... the best of the best to you! Regards Pino

“A great host and a very nice place”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2015

We stayed in Pino's flat for about 3 days. The flat was very nice for the 4 of us and well equipped. Pino was such a warm character. he helped us settle in and gave us a ton of information on how to move around, what to see and where and what to eat. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this place.

Response from the owner Thank you, Ali, I'm really glad you liked the apartment and enjoyed you stay, it was a nice experience to have you as my guests, don't esitate to contact me when you'll be again in Rome. I wish you the best. Regards. Pino

“Excellent value for the price”

Reviewed 1 Apr 2015

The apartment was clean and cosy, providing anything you might need for your stay from numerous extra pillows and blankets to an impressive collection of kitchen tools. It isn't exactly in the center of the city, but it is easily reachable by public transport or on foot. In the neighborhood you can find lots of small restaurants and shops. Pino is the best host you can imagine, from the beginning of planning your trip to the very end of it. Firstly, he answers emails rather quickly, which is not what you get from every host in Italy. He also provided us with useful materials on public transport, restaurants and places to visit before we even got there. When we arrived in Rome, he greeted us with some local food and wine and even more suggestions for having a great time. After that, he was constantly interested in how we're doing and ready to help with everything. We had the best time in Rome and a lot of it is thanks to him. We'll definitely recommend this apartment to all of our friends and if possible, visit it again ourselves.

Response from the owner I wish you the best of the best, Kaisa, to you and to your family, I look forward to meet you again, sure as a host in Rome, but it will be very fun as a guest in your country ... See you soon! Regards Pino

“All good!”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2014

Pino is a cool guy. We decided very spontaneous to be his guests and we were lucky that the flat was free. He had a bottle of wine and some Pasta for us. That was nice, even we didn't drink the wine since my wife is pregnant and we were too tired to cook in the evening. The flat was very clean and as described. The only thing missing was the parking ON the ground where the flat is. That was a slight misunderstanding. AirBnB has different translation for this option in English, Deutsch and Italiano. But Pino solved this little Problem by saving a parking directly in front of the house. Pino also prepared some maps of his area and of Rome. With two different bus lines you can reach the most important sights. I would not recommend to go by foot. We did and our feet were not amused. You can take the bus for 1,5 € or a cab for about 10 €. Pino kept contact on our stay and was always helpful. A really nice & trustworthy person. I recommend this place for a stay in Rome. Thanks, Pino!

Response from the owner Thank you, Dominic, for being my guests, we were both lucky because I am glad when a family with babies decides to stay at my apartment, and you are also a nice family, I hope one day, when children will be grown, to have you all again as my guests. Best regards Pino

“At home in Rome”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2014

Great appartment, and Pino is the natural born host! We were warmly welcomed , then stayed in contact during our stay in case we need anything . The location is exactly what we needed, apart from the Tourist masses, and a very nice and green neighbourhood - the bus Station is nearby, and you are in about 20 minutes in the historical Center - you can also walk to a few very very nice spots (ask Pino, he's got a lot of tipps!). Parking was no problem (the apartment doesn't have ist own private parking spot, but we found a place immediately). The neighbourhood has everything you need (there is a Supermarket right across the street), pizzerias, a hair Salon, and not in the least smiling and friendly people. Oh, and having your coffee in the morning sunshine in the banana garden - priceless! We also appreciated the high Speed Internet and the spacious living room and bathroom- after a long day walking all over Rome, you get to come to a nice home! Can't wait to get there again. So until next year! Best regards and many thanks, Roxana&Titus

Response from the owner Thank you Roxana and Titus! You are nice persons and I like very much your interest in travelling and in meeting people and cultures, as much as I like me. Also you know how to be good guests, because you practice hospitality too, and that was a great point, I knew that my house was in good hands! It was really a pleasure to have you as my guests, come back soon, I will wait for you. Regards Pino
