“Our third stay at Casa Mango, and we'll be back!”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2012

This was our third trip to Casa Mango and it was just as good, if not better, the third time. I cannot say enough good things about the house, the location, the beach, the monkeys that hang out at Casa Mango (every day the week we were there!!) and the wonderful restaurants. Don't hesitate -- just go! It's awesome!!!

“Beautiful spot!”

We had an absolutely wonderful time! The house was beautiful! Billy was very professional and helpful. I can't say enough good things. I will definitely recommend it to others and will email you next time we're heading back to Santa Teresa. Thanks so much for everything!

“Wedding in Paradise”

Reviewed 28 Feb 2011

I came to Costa Rica with family and friends to celebrate the wedding of my son. They were married just across the road from Casa Mango which made our stay incredibly effortless. Down the driveway and across the street and there we were on the beach in another gorgeous home where the wedding was held. Our Costa home was clean and modern in the midst of the dust and jungle and we felt happy to be in such luxury for our wedding adventure. We had lots of rooms for different family configurations and decks to sit on to watch the ocean over the top of the jungle canopy. The owner, Claire, was so friendly and willing to share all she knew, which was considerable, about the details of how to make the journey there from the us. And our caretakers were equally gracious in answering all our newbie questions and calling cabs for us. We were treated on the last day to an amazing howler monkey show as a couple dozen of them made their way through the treetops around the house. The driveway is quite steep which gave us some good exercise and the fridge a bit loud but clean and new and kept our food cold! I would highly recommend the experience!!

We had an amazing stay here for our friends wedding. The house and view we absolutly beautiful. We enjoyed using the BBQ and everything was very nice and clean. The use of the washer and dryer came in handy with the dirt roads... :) (My only suggestion would be to put in aC in the downstairs bedroom.) We would absolutely stay here again and will recommed it to all of our friends! Thank you!

The house and location is great. I have been going to santa teresa for the past ten years and this is one of the best houses I have rented. The views are amazing and you feel alone up in the mountain.

“Wow! Luxury in the jungle with an ocean view”

Reviewed 24 Feb 2011

Had a great stay at Casa Mango last week! The house was gorgeous...felt right at home with granite & stainless kitchen and beautiful bathrooms...yet doing tai chi on the deck overlooking the ocean with parrots flying overhead and howler monkeys in the distance was pure exotica! Santa Teresa is the perfect getaway with just the right mix of beach seclusion and great restaurants and spas. Highly recommended!

“Amazing home and experience at Casa Mango”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2010

We're a family of 5 with 3 little girls who were seeking for a local experience in Costa Rica that's a little more adventurous and less packaged. Casa Mango in Santa Teresa is a perfect blend of luxury, nature and local flavors. The house is absolutely amazing with its views and amenities. The house manager "Billy" is a phone call away with anything we need, Billy calls in several times to check in on us which is really nice. The beach is great, once you set foot on the sand and look in either direction you'll immediately fall in love with the place. We went in late august and there were no one on the beach, wild life is abundant on our walks from the house. Rent an aTV and ride north to Matzanilla or along the southern border to Montezuma, you'll find yourself lost in the beauty of the jungle. We thought our kids would be bored, but they settled in nicely without all the modern distractions. Their favorite thing to do is driving the aTV on the trails and surfing. If you come here you must try to surf, all of our kids got up and surf within 1/2 hour with lessons from "Toro" and "Chito" at Blue Surf academy. We'll return to Casa Mango again soon.

We were well welcomed and shown the amenities by the friendly English property manager Billy. The house is spacious and airy with plenty of light and great views, good cooking facilities and a barbecue on the deck. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a good ensuite ,A/C and a roof fan.It has large deck and balcony. The outside shower was great after returning from the beach which was 5 minutes walk ,went for miles with great surf. It was a quiet location surrounded by mango trees ..with a colony of monkeys passing through most mornings!Great variety of wonderful food in the different nationality restaurants..We really enjoyed the variety of wild life, the peace and sitting on the deck in the evenings with a glass of sangria looking at the view of the Pacific.Another world!

“Been here before and will be back again!!”

Another amazing trip to Casa Mango, luxury villa! The house is fabulous and it couldn't have a better location in Santa Teresa -- close to restaurants and a market and yet also close to the wildlife and very close to the most gorgeous beach. There were monkeys in the trees at the house! My husband, three friends and I spent a week here. We rented bikes and just rode or walked everywhere --no need for a car if you like walking. And the bikes were tons of fun. The restaurants in Santa Teresa are exceptional -- everything from great Italian to tuna burgers to Israeli food to pizza to beach bars -- and of course, great local food. I had gallo pinto for breakfast every day -- yum! The only "negative" about going here is that it takes a bit of effort to get to Santa Teresa -- but the effort is well worth it, and the owner will guide you regarding how to get there. Once you get to Casa Mango, you won't want to leave. We would also like to say that Billy, the property manager, was very helpful, and the owner answered any questions we had before we went. So if you love the beach, wildlife, and great food, you'll love Casa Mango! Enjoy!!!

“Beautiful Views”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2010

Our family had a wonderful stay at Casa Mango. The views from the patios and upper balcony were amazing! The house itself was very luxurious and the accommodations were beyond our expectations. The feeling of being in the jungle, with visits from monkeys, numerous bird species and the exotic flora and fauna was a unique experience. A very good time was had by all.
