“Very convenient location”

Reviewed 13 Mar 2014

This apartment suited us very well as a base for a 4 day visit to Rome. it is very conveniently situated and within walking distance to many of Rome's main attractions. There was ample space, and having two bathrooms was a bonus. However we did have some trouble with the volume of hot water available ...we did report the 'problem' but found the only way to guarantee enough hot water was for one of us to shower at night and the other in the morning! We anticipate it could be a problem if say 4 people wanted a shower in succession. There are small issues which should be sorted - no major repairs but minor things which the agent should sort out eg. the wall fixing which should hold the shower head has evidenly broken for ages, light bulbs in all lamps should work, curtain drawing mechanism has jammed. But the apartment also has a lot to offer and is a quiet retreat at the end of a busy day sightseeing - hardly any traffic noise and yet within 1 minute walk of all kinds of amenities - including several restaurants on the adjoining street. The kitchen has all necessary amenities but to be honest we only used it to boil the kettle for a cup of tea! We made use of the prebooked taxi services from and to the airport - efficient and dependable. All in all we would recommend the apartment.

“Fantastic apartment in the best location in Rome”

Reviewed 10 Feb 2014

Comfortable, warm apartment with everything you need for a great stay, the location could not have been any better, we walked everywhere. It's obvious what restaurants in the area are more for tourists and not great, but walk a few streets away or over the river and you won't have enough time to try all the great restaurants. Very easy transfer from the airport and a great host to explain everything you need to know to have an awesome stay.

“Great location”

Reviewed 16 Dec 2013

We stayed in this apartment for 5 nights and found it to be comfortable and convenient. We walked to all the main attractions and when we returned to the apartment found it to be a wonderfully quiet refuge from all the noise of such a busy city. We particularly enjoyed the WiFi and the excellent heating.Massimo who met us at the apartment was very helpful as was everyone we dealt with. It was an enjoyable stay.

“Fantastic location....pity about the smell!”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2013

I was tempted to give Bollo 4 stars but, in reality, the hideous putrid smell unfortunately prvents me from doing so. Likewise, for recommending it. I nearly gagged as soon as the manager showed us in and when I commented on it, she just ignored me. The apartment had at least three vases of dead flowers so maybe that was it, although I don't think so, it was worse than that. That apartment itself was totally adequate and the location couldn't be bettered - a minutes walk from the lovely Campo di Fiori - and an easy walk to just about everything there is to see in Rome. Also very quiet despite its proximity to a lot of nightlife. It also felt very safe for my 20 something daughters to walk alone at night. If it weren't for the smell I would definitely recommend it but it was just revolting to come home to each night. I have answered the questions below as if there were no smell because too hard to answer otherwise, the smell changed everything.
