Piazza Mattei è un gioiello nascosto situato nell’antico Ghetto Ebraico. Grazie alla sua posizione nel cuore del centro storico, permette un facile accesso a tutti monumenti più famosi di Roma. Di giorno potete godere di tutte le bellezze storiche della città: dalla splendida area archeologica di Torre Argentina, al tranquillo fascino del Ghetto e dell’isola Tiberina, situata tra le due sponde del Tevere. I maggiori luoghi di interesse turistico sono vicini all’appartamento: Piazza Venezia, il Colosseo e i Fori Imperiali, il vivace mercato di Campo de’ Fiori, la spettacolare barocca piazza Navona, le eleganti boutique nei vicoli del centro. Altri simboli di Roma come la Basilica di San Pietro e i Musei Vaticani, il Pantheon e il caratteristico quartiere di Trastevere, sono anch’essi facilmente raggiungibili.
Di sera Piazza Mattei è un’oasi di pace nel trambusto della vita notturna romana. Dai bar più turistici che riempiono Campo de’ Fiori ai numerosi locali di Trastevere, troverete il posto giusto per le vostre esigenze.
Inoltre non mancano i più autentici bar, dove gustare un espresso italiano e le accoglienti trattorie di cucina tradizionale nelle stradine intorno a Palazzo Costaguti.
Cenni storici
Situato nel centro di Roma, questo palazzo nobiliare è stato la dimora della famiglia Costaguti per secoli.
Costruito nella prima metà del XVI secolo, per volere del monsignore Costanzo Patrizi, fu venduto successivamente ai fratelli Ascanio e Prospero Costaguti.
Nel ‘500 la famiglia commissionò agli artisti del tempo di decorare le stanze del palazzo con magnifici affreschi. Nell'appartamento stesso potete ammirare l’Allegoria dei mesi e delle stagioni nel salone, realizzata dai Fratelli Zuccari, Enea Armato di Cavalier d’Arpino nella sala biliardo, e l’affresco di Poussin in una delle camere da letto. Non è facile descrivere “Costaguti Experience” con le parole. In modo comune si può dire che è un grande appartamento di 300mq, in cui spicca un enorme salone di 70mq il cui soffitto è decorato dall’affresco “Allegoria dei mesi e delle stagioni”, realizzato dai Fratelli Zuccari.
Le grandi finestre si affacciano su piazza Mattei e sulla famosa Fontana delle Tartarughe.
La casa è stata completamente ristrutturata con materiali di grande pregio, mantenendo tutte le sue caratteristiche storiche integrate con ogni comfort moderno, per offrire un soggiorno lussuoso e confortevole nella città eterna. Questo elegante appartamento può ospitare fino a 12 persone nelle sue 5 camere da letto. E’ dotato inoltre di una sala biliardo e di una sauna privata.
Le spaziose camere da letto disposte su due piani, garantiscono privacy e comfort sia per piccoli che per grandi gruppi. La casa è inoltre dotata di aria condizionata in tutte le camere, accesso WI FI gratuito, TV satellitare e macchina del caffè Nespresso.
