Description
The apartment is located on the ground floor of a splendid villa, surrounded by a park with tall trees, and large public squares where you can park your car. The villa consists of 4 units: one is occupied by the owners, the more (APPARTMENT and STUDIO suites) are reserved for guests. Everything is closed off by high walls and wrought iron gates.
The villa is situated at Monte Verde, Rome from which the ancient Romans mined the tufa, a porous building material and yellowish. For this reason, the Latin name of the neighborhood was ' Mons Aureus ', i.e., ' Golden Mountain '. With the fall of the Roman Empire, the quarries were abandoned and covered by a luxuriant vegetation, favored by the fertility of the soil soaked with Tuff. For this reason, starting from the middle ages, the area was given the name ' Green Mountain '. It rises from the same side of the River Tiber where lies the Vatican and Trastevere district. Here are the public gardens of Villa Doria Pamphili, one of the most beautiful and historic villas in Italy. The Hill of Gianicolo terrace from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view, and the dome of St. Peter's Basilica, are nearby.

At 50 meters from the entrance gate, moreover, stops the fast tram that leads to Piazza Venezia (between the Colosseum and Piazza Navona), right in the Centre, passing through the historic neighborhood of Trastevere, very appreciated for its many quaint local, where drink, eat and listen to music.
It is, therefore, an ideal place to choose from, for discovering Rome.
Arriving by car from Autostrada del Sole, you must follow the following path:-exit at Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA) with direction Aurelia/Fiumicino airport ';
-take the GRA to exit 1 (Aurelio-Vatican), take the via Aurelia (new) direction Roma centro;
-At Largo Perassi (before the fork with spring on the right), take Via Aurelia Antica;
-just before the overpass, turn right onto Via Leone XIII (the road that divides into two Villa Pamphili), Piazzetta del Bel Respiro;
-take via del Casaletto, turning right at the first traffic light;
-take Via the Fort Bravetta, turn right again at the second traffic light.
Coming by plane at Fiumicino airport, take a taxi (€ 48), or take the city up to the Trastevere train station and then a taxi (€ 8) or tram ' 8 ', to the terminus.
Coming by plane at Ciampino airport, take a taxi (€ 30, or) the shuttle with the Trastevere train station.
Arriving by train at station ' Termini ', take a taxi (€ 16/20), or the ' H ' Bus stop ' Casaletto '.
