“Great place to stay and re-charge your batteries!” From the moment of arriving Jeremy and Lynda couldn't have done more to make me feel welcome and valued. The cottage was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need. The location is superb and is very peaceful yet plenty to do on the doorstep. I heartily recommend a cream tea at Cheristow Lavendar which is just a short walk away and a visit to atlantic Village in Bideford. The only downside was having to go home!

“Fantastic, Tranquil Holiday Experience” Pat and Annette really have a stunning Lodge Resort. The lodge is placed near a lake, has stunning views, and the lodge it self has all the creature comforts of home and is very comfortable. The location is central to all the local tourist attractions, and Pat and Annette have developed a book recommending all the best places to visit while in the area. With boats, donkey rides for the kids, fishing and a quaint little pool hall in the centre of the lodge, Mount Cashel is far better than any hotel. I would highly recommend this property to my friends and certainly will be coming back to stay again, the main reason being that it is so peaceful, welcoming and homely.

“Fantastic accomodation and Beautiful Views” This peaceful quite location was so relaxing, serene and beautiful. The house was more than we ever expected. The decor, and fine detail to everything was like being home away from home. The house was warm, cozy, had all the ammenties we needed, and was spotlessly clean. Barry was so kind and friendly making us feel at home immediately. Any questions or concerns that we had, he was responsive immediately and catered to our every needs. We would fully recommend this vacation rental for couples and/or families. Great location, close to the town of Ramelton, plus a short drive to Letterkenny, close to all highways if you had any other sigtseeing to do in other countys. We would absolutely love to stay in the house again and would be very disappointed for our next vacation if the house was not available.

“A wonderful experience with way more than we expected!!” Our stay in your beautiful abode was the 'cherry on top' of our great, Ireland experience. The setting is absolutely stunning, out in the beautiful countryside, with close proximity to town. All we might possibly need was readily available. We enjoyed the best of both worlds with all the modern gadgets in an old-world atmosphere. Your warm hospitality was an added bonus. “Beautiful, Warm & Welcoming” We set out on a journey to discover our heritage and see if we had any living relatives in Co. Mayo Ireland. We arrived on an unseasonably cold and blustery day so when we opened the door to the house and were welcomed by the warmth of heat we were delighted. Teach Mo Chroi' was our home base but turned out to be so much more. It is truly a lovely home. The rooms were very spacious and the beds incredibly comfortable after a long day of touring. The kids enjoyed playing soccer and especially the tire swing, but the highlight was watching the fathers and sons play basketball together. It turned out to be one of the best family vacations we've ever taken. There were so many places to visit in the area; a boat ride from ashford Castle to the island was among our favorites. But don't miss Ballintubber abbey, Achill Island, Climbing Croagh Patrick and especially the nightlife in Westport town. Everything was so easily accessible and convenient. The home is furnished with everything you could possibly need or want for cooking, and with so many Satellite channels it was easy to keep the kids entertained. Maura our hostess was warm and friendly and helpful. We were especially impressed with how clean the home was when we arrived and how easily it handled our large group of 11 adults & children. I will recommend the home to others and hope we can find another excuse to visit again in the future. If there was any disappointment it was that we were unable to find any living relatives but our visit to Mayo and Teach Mo Chroi more than made up for that disappointment.

“I cannot fault this stay” I have stayed in several of Lynda and Jeremy's cottages over the past few years. I have yet to find anywhere to stay on holiday that's so relaxing and relaxed. I am very particular when it comes to privacy, quiet and cleanliness but I never have to worry about anything when I go to Downe House. The Roes are the perfect hosts and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Do go and visit!

“Really nice cottage” We did change cottage whilst we where there due to someone booking extra nights in The Haggart, but we did stay in the one next door, and it was a really nice place. Coal fire two bedrooms two bathrooms and a massive open plan dinning/lounge/kitchen area. The grounds of the cottages where really nice and open. We had our little pug puppy and he loved the running around indoors and outdoors. I would really reccommend this cottage to anyone. Its short drives to coastal areas and if you are into seafood there is a great place in Baltimore called The sea front. all in all ten out of ten area and cottage. karl karen and Ziggy

“spot on for our family gathering” We hired muckno lodge for s family gathering, bringing people from monaghan, London, Surrey and Yorkshire together for a few days. The mginns were very welcoming and helpful and had a tray of scones and a pot of tea ready for us on arrival, which went down a treat. The house was very comfortable and suited our needs well. “very relaxing family holidays” we enjoyed a quiet and relaxing stay at Downes. The location is great but not close for restaurants, supermarkets and beaches, it requires some driving, this is why we deducted a star. The start for comfort was deducted because we felt a noise coming on/going off in early morning for a boiler or something in one of the rooms even though heating was off. This woke us occassionally and is overall a minor thing. Overall a very nice stay and already recommended further. In terms of comfort and equipments: very well equipped, everything is here, and we mean everything, nothing to bring. We would come again.

“Taking a break from Corporate Life” I booked Trevase Granary for a three day off-site meeting for the Board of Telefonica o2; it was perfect for this type of event as we were keen to get away from corporate life and have some quality thinking time. The barn is finished to a very high standard and every bedroom is en-suite. The kitchen has every gadget you could possibly require so we had great fun cooking together; the huge dining table allowed us to enjoy some very sociable meals. Finally the games room provided the post dinner competitive entertainment- great fun! I highly recommend this place.
