“perfect” We love Oar Island. It is the perfect vacation place for families with children of different ages, or just a couple. There is hiking, sunning, relaxation, but mostly what we love about Oar Island is the isolation. It is an adventure as well, since the only way to get there is by the little motorboat. It is a getaway for certain kinds of people; but if you prefer the Marriott type of stay, this is not that kind, it is much more "out-doorsy".

“Amazingly well equipped and idylically located.” Everything you could want in a vacation cottage except a beach. Great for a poet or a painter. Not a lot of action in the immediate neighborhood, but not far away.Quiet, well maintained and comfortable.

“A perfect home for our family getaway!” Tranquility on Penobscot Bay was truly a wonderful experience for my entire family! Everything we needed was supplied and the house was very spacious and comfy! All of the beds had great mattresses which was so nice. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved the big yard surrounding the house and the blueberry bushes right off the side porch was an added plus! Every morning my grandchildren went out and picked their own berries for breakfast! We were in the area to attend a wedding at French's Point which was located just a few miles down the road! It was so convenient to participate in wedding events throughout the week! On our one rainy day there, we made a fire and just relaxed in the spacious living area! Loved having a gas grill out on the large deck that wrapped around the house and we used it almost every night! Rocking chairs on the deck for early morning coffee, too! The ages in our family went from 60's down to 1 year old and everyone had the best time ever! Would return to this special home in a heartbeat!

“Wonderful” My family and I spent a week at Moose Tracks and we had a fantastic time! We couldn't have asked for better weather, and the lake was absolutely beautiful. We hope to come back next summer!

“A Little Bit of Heaven” Several years ago I had the good fortune to rent this cottage "sight unseen" and have been returning each year for 10 or so years which tells you how much I love it here. Dream about it in the winter too. It is immaculate, close to a small beach, stores, and not too far from Rockland and Camden. If I could, I would spend the summer here and be in heaven! Tranquil, beautiful, soothing and good for the soul are some of the ways I would describe Hupper Cottage. The owners are terrific and most accommodating. In my opinion you won't find a better place to stay in Maine for rest and relaxation! Walking and sight seeing are great, and the lobster and sunsets are fabulous! Great hub for sightseeing in mid-coast Maine as well.

“Outstanding vacation location on Georgetown Island, Maine” For the past three years, we have vacationed at White Rocks Cottage on Georgetown Island, Maine (not far from Bath) and we highly recommend it. Whether you have children or not, there are plenty of activities in the area for everyone (hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, strolling beaches, shopping & eating in or out) or, you can do nothing but relax and watch the world go by in the comfort of this lovely, private, clean and well furnished home on the Maine Coast. “Peaceful, Romantic and Inspiring” First I must say that all folks involved in the rental and care of the cottages are the tops. They know just how to be there for everything you might need without being intrusive, and the cottage is very bright and clean. This small cottage is on one spectacular piece of property where we sat by the cove each night in strategically placed adirondack chairs to watch the glorious sunsets. Cannot recommend Little Cottage too highly for a couple or single, as long as they are not too tall. The location is perfect for those who want to be on the quiet side.
