Perfect in Every Way

Left on Oct 01, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The cabin was spotless when we arrived and was equipped with everything we needed. It even had a crock pot which was handy for preparing meals. It was so good to come home after a day of sightseeing and having dinner ready to eat. The beds were comfortable and the living area was cozy. It was a plus having a washer and dryer which we took advantage of as we were on a month long trip and it …

Peaceful cabin in the woods!

Left on Jul 27, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This was the perfect place for our extended family of 8 to stay during our Black Hills vacation, much more convenient than a hotel. It is a beautiful remodeled rural cabin in the woods, just a short distance out of Custer. It has all the basic amenities you need for your stay, all we had to do was buy the groceries. The washer and dryer came in very handy, especially with two children. I thought …

Relaxing

Left on Feb 21, 2013 for a stay in August 2012

We stayed here last summer (2012) with our two "city" kids. They loved being out on a ranch. The cabin is so interesting and the landscape around the property was great for exploring. The cabin was clean, the beds were super comfy. The only downside was that one night there was a wicked rain storm and because of the metal roof it was sooo loud. The nearby town of Hot Springs is really cute and …

Cozy, quiet, clean cabin on the edge of the National Forest--a great value!

Left on Jun 17, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

The Double D was a perfect "home base" for us while spending a week hiking the trails in the southern Black Hills. The cabin was built by the owners, who are friendly and knowledgeable about the area and also give you lots of privacy. Their property abuts the National Forest with miles of hiking/riding trails. This is not a fussy B&B with lace and ruffles; it's rustic with basic, modern …
