“Magical” My husband and I have stayed in ivy cottage,its very comfortable and cosy especally with the open fireplace plenty of room for holiday cottage and all essential's catered for and lots of pease and quite. There is plenty to do in the surrounding areas golf only 9km in Templemore,fishing and plenty of walks and sightseeing,but just to sit in the picknic area and look across to the fields and mountains is really breathtaking,plus walking around pet farm. Our host Mr M Odonnell is most welcomning making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your holiday to the full.

“Fantastic, Tranquil Holiday Experience” Pat and Annette really have a stunning Lodge Resort. The lodge is placed near a lake, has stunning views, and the lodge it self has all the creature comforts of home and is very comfortable. The location is central to all the local tourist attractions, and Pat and Annette have developed a book recommending all the best places to visit while in the area. With boats, donkey rides for the kids, fishing and a quaint little pool hall in the centre of the lodge, Mount Cashel is far better than any hotel. I would highly recommend this property to my friends and certainly will be coming back to stay again, the main reason being that it is so peaceful, welcoming and homely.

“spot on for our family gathering” We hired muckno lodge for s family gathering, bringing people from monaghan, London, Surrey and Yorkshire together for a few days. The mginns were very welcoming and helpful and had a tray of scones and a pot of tea ready for us on arrival, which went down a treat. The house was very comfortable and suited our needs well. “Amazing Short Break” Had 4 days in this beautiful cottage in the heart of Connemara - Great weather - sunny all days - walks on the beach and mountains - great golf and fantastic food in Clifden plus a few beers as the sun was setting. 2 adults and 2 teenage kids - just what the doctor ordered for a stress free break at Easter. Many options for accommodation in the West but this comes highly recommended - authentic cottage, super clean, traditional, rustic, warm and comfortable. €5 euro in a taxi from Clfden. Cottage is very private and set on river/stream with closest living critters being birds, otters and sheep - no noise - bliss. Liam and Marian great to deal with - good tips and really helpful - Thanks for a memorable stay - we'll be back. Keith and Dee.

“Great place to stay for families!” This was our first summer holiday with our 2 year old son and our hosts provided us with a cot and a high chair for him. We were happy to find that the place was safe (sturdy banister, switches for plugs and oven, boilers in separate rooms) for a - supervised - small child and can recommend it without reserve for families (Being only in three, we used of course not all rooms). The cottage is located in a beautiful spot and we really enjoyed the clean, breezy air and the great views of both the seaside and the surrounding mountains.

“Fantastic relaxing break in a beautiful area” We arrived late at night and the key was in the door of the cottage with the place lovely and warm and ready for us. We were given organic veg, chocolate, beer and plum cake as a gift! The cottage was beautifully done out inside with gorgeous sheep fleece rugs, an amazing view out of upstairs, and the bathrooms were fantastic with a walk in shower in the guest bedroom. It is located close to Loweswater and Crummock Water and Keswick is easily accessible for a cream tea! We ate at Cottage in the Woods and the Kirkstile Inn which I would thoroughly recommend to anybody - they both offer amazing food and are roughly 10mins drive away. We loved the views from the windows, excellent location and space offered by the cottage. The drying cupboard for our wet clothes was also a lovely extra! There aren't any negative points of our stay - I would definitely recommend this place (and already have done).

“wet and wonderful...typical Lakes!” Excellent modern eco friendly house; underfloor heating needs careful use especially with the need, by the owner, to anticipate a cold snap 24 hrs ahead. Well kittec out, very comfortable house; alas the sofas were very low and difficult for older people. Great use of the surrounding land to good effect. Complex is well placed for the far west Lakes and close to Cockermouth which offers good, varied and enjoyable facilities. Very happy to return.

“Family is forever.” Paddy is the most gracious host, the house was clean and well stocked with all the amenities we needed. All the rooms were spacious and the kids loved climbing the rocks in the back. What a view. I should write a terrible review so the house will be available at a cheaper rate next year but I can't. Beautiful house and great local, loved it. Jim G
