“amazing” You always hope that you will be happy with your accommodations and this home did not disappoint. We loved the location with the amazing views. We watched turtles every morning and beautiful sunsets at night. The home was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was relaxing at night listening to the crashing waves and the palm trees rustling in the wind. The one suggestion we would make would be for a sofa instead of two love seats so you could recline after a hard day of sight seeing. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.

“Its good” The apartment was spacious and quite well equipped. The cross breeze was very nice and the few negative comments are not to take away that it was a good experience. Other than that the carpet needed cleaning and the blankets were musty because they were folded in the closet. Its the nature of a tropical place. Overall very good

Our Pacific Paradise

Koloa apartment

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“Our home away from home...” "Our Pacific Paradise" was exactly what we had hoped for. It was stocked with all of the amenities that we needed, basically it was our home away from home. You can't beat the location, Lawai beach is right next to the condo or a quick drive (or a bike ride) takes you to Poipu beach. We loved sitting on the lanai and watch turtles swim into the waves, we have been coming to Hawaii for a few years and we have never seen so many turtles, we saw one at least everyday and right out of our balcony. The grounds were very well kept and we used the Bbq's to cook ourselves some fresh fish, everything was clean and easy to use. Reserving the condo was a breeze, Jackie was very efficient and professional to deal with. The condo was clean and looked exactly like the pictures on the website. We were very happy with our condo choice and if we have a chance to go back to Kauai we would love to stay there again. Mahalo Jackie!

“Relax” It's a mass tourism condo without personal touch, but it makes the best of it. Several beautiful beaches and restaurants are within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance, the home was nice, spacious and clean. Beach utensils, well equipped kitchen, washing machine etc. We enjoyed our stay.

Koloa apartment

“Dolphin suite” House is in a great location, steps from the beach. We loved having the barbecue grill outside to cook burgers or freshly caught fish. We had only 2 gripes about the house-- the stove needs cleaning after every use for some reason, no matter how much you scrub the pans, and it is not easy to clean, taking 10-15 minutes of scrubbing. No fun. The second gripe, more like just a slight disappointment, was that there really wasn't a covered lanai to be outside when it rains. The covered entry looks at a parking lot, and the ocean view side has no protection from the rain, so you are stuck inside if you don't want to get wet. Aside from those things, we loved the house, you can fit an army in there it is so big! And the kitchen was very well furnished, plenty of pots and pans, and tools, and utensils. Great house, and a great week. Thank you so much!

“Family Vacation” A couple suggestions. One of the twin beds had slats that were too short so the bed kept falling through to the floor. Not much room between coffee pot and area to put away dishes from the dishwasher. Accidently, tipped the coffee grounds on my back when trying to empty the diswasher. Had 2nd and 3rd degree burns over a large section. Easy remedy is to move coffee pot, but thought of that too late!

“True Paradise” The Parrish Collection Management team is awesome. They do a great job managing the properties and are always accessible for any questions. Hale ani is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay so much. It's located near Brenneke Beach and the kids were able to walk to the beach everyday. We could see them body surfing or playing on the beach while we sipped on mai tais on the porch. The location is wonderful. We would not hesitate to return to this island or this house.

“Excellent location and facilities” This was our first visit to the island and found that the villa was centrally located. We could walk for meals and the beaches were just a short drive. The staff was awesome and helped us book some activities. Our condo wasn't particularily clean when we arrived but it was well stocked and everyone else we travelled with said their condos were clean. Had trouble with the internet as most websites we blocked by their server...couldn't even log into my email back home. Luckily we could use the wireless from one of our neighbors internet. Book a condo with wireless if it's important to you. When we go back to Kauaui we will definitely stay here again. No hesitations.

Nihi Kai Villas #820

Koloa apartment

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Great condo with fabulous views!” We stayed in Nihi Kai #820 from June 10-21, 2011. We requested an early check-in with Parrish and when we arrived at 12:15 p.m., our condo was cleaned and ready with flowers, a welcome basket and groceries (I sent a list to Parrish a few weeks prior to our arrival). We were able to unwind immediately. We decided to have a cold beer and make sandwiches and enjoy the fabulous views of the Poipu coastline. The condo is in building 8, up the hill but only a 5 minute walk to the pool and beach. We really enjoyed the amazing views and spent a lot of time on the lanai enjoying the sunsets. The kitchen in #820 was also amazing. New appliances, large refrigerator and granite counter tops. The owners also remodeled the kitchen with an island in the middle for easy access to the entire kitchen. (Other Nihi Kai units only have one way to get into the kitchen and we found that to be an issue with more than one person in the kitchen). The kitchen is also very well equipped with everything we needed to cook dinner. The BBQ is right outside the door at the end of the parking lot which was a nice surprise! There is only ½ flight of stairs to reach the front door of the condo. This unit is very nicely decorated; all of the furniture is new and the decorations are in a Tommy Bahama style, which we really enjoyed. A lot of condos have the wicker furniture, which I'm not fond of. There is an a/C unit in the master bedroom and we used that on occasion to cool down the master bedroom before going to bed (it was a little more humid on this trip because of the extra rain). The condo also has a nice cross breeze which kept the living and dining rooms cool and comfortable throughout the day. The condo also felt very spacious with an open floor plan so we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. I spent a lot of time on the lanai reading and enjoying the views. We really enjoyed staying in #820 and will probably stay there again on our next trip.

“Comfortable and relaxing” Very comfortable, clean and nicely furnished condominium. We stayed here with two children who had their own room and bathroom. Condo was secure and spacious for four people. We did not entertain in the unit, but there was ample room to have a dinner with friends. Kitchen was well equipped and bathrooms were large enough for two people each. Only complaint is the pools were not very large and were pretty crowded by mid-day. We spent most of our time at the ocean.

About Koloa

Koloa, Hawaii, is one of several communities on the south shore of the Island of Kauai. Like much of Hawaii, the area is known as an unforgettable tropical paradise. But Koloa is also distinguished by its fascinating cultural and natural history. While you are in Koloa, plan a visit to the Keoneloa Bay archeological sites, the Spouting Horn Geyser, and the ancient walled temple of Kihahouna Heiau.

When you've had enough history and island exploration for one day, relax in the sun with a cold drink and a good book, watch the brilliant sunset over the ocean, and then enjoy the evening at Koloa's world-class restaurants and energetic night spots.

Here are few additional suggestions of things to do in Koloa:

  • Go scuba diving: Scuba diving is the best way to get close to the brilliant biodiversity of Koloa's marine life.
  • Go horseback riding: There's nothing more romantic than exploring the island trails on horseback and galloping along the beach.
  • Hike the trails: Kauai is home to a ten mile beautiful biking and hiking trail along the south shore called the Koloa Heritage Trail. Learn more about the history of the area by reading the placards along the way.
  • Enjoy the beach: The beaches of Koloa are beyond perfection. Relax and feel the gentle sun, play in the waves, or take a chartered boat tour and explore the ecosystems of the coast.
  • Play golf or relax in the spa: Play a round on the champion caliber Poipu Bay golf course or spend the afternoon in a spa receiving some head-to-toe pampering.
  • Enjoy the Koloa nightlife: The nighttime atmosphere on Koloa is warm, welcoming, energetic, and fun. Be sure to check out Keoki's Paradise or Stevenson's Library.

No matter what time of year you plan your trip, you can easily book a romantic oceanfront condo just big enough for two or an elegant villa for the whole family within a few steps of the beach. You won't have any trouble finding a beautiful vacation rental in or close to the community of Koloa.

Our Pacific Paradise
Loved the turtles!

My mom and I had a lovely stay at this condo in Feb 2014 recently. It had a side angle of the water where you could see turtles feeding on the rocks during the day from your lanai, and watch giant toads come out at night. The unit was well stocked, clean, and filled with little extras to make our stay even more comfortable. An excellent king bed and lovely kitchen, plus close proximity to Poipu, beaches, shopping, spouting horn, and anything else you would want to do in the area. We would definitely consider coming back. A very comfortable and charming suite that is perfect for two people. Enjoy!see more

LOVED, LOVED THIS PROPERTY - BACK NEXT YEAR FOR 10 WEEKS!

I am going to get straight to the point! WE LOVE, LOVE, LOVED THE MONTH WE SPENT AT HALE O’ANI THIS YEAR! And we are coming again in 2016 – this time for ten weeks! After several years of staying in condos on the beach in Poipu, my husband and I decided to explore more of Kauai’s vacation properties. Fortunately, we were still on the island when we found the listing for the above property and were able to see it in person. We loved the serenity of the location and the beautiful attention to detail of the décor. We rented it on the spot for the entire month of January, 2015. It did not disappoint. It is a wonderful retreat. The furnishings are unique, the floors spectacular, and the place immaculate (no evidence of mustiness which a previous reviewer noted). The bedding is first class, with wonderful pillows (better than I have at home). I love to cook and consequently we ate out infrequently during the month. I found the kitchen to be well equipped with a blender, food processor, crock pot, all the typical utensils, and a gas stove, which was a bonus. The glassware and dishes were much nicer than I’ve ever had in a condo property. There is also a Weber grill with all appropriate tools. And Tommy Bahama beach chairs, plus an umbrella for days at the beach. The hot tub and outside shower were great treats, and we enjoyed the seclusion and privacy that the stucco wall with palms and blooming flowers provided (think "romantic Tropical" house). There are plenty of birds singing and typical creatures that you’d expect to see in a tropical climate. Faye and Bob were highly attentive, but not intrusive. Because we were staying for a month we made a few requests that were fulfilled immediately. (They even bought us some clothe napkins when they found out we were having a number of guests for dinner). While we don’t want to wish our lives away, I can’t wait to get back to this wonderful spot which seems to be a great balance of beauty and functionality; and that suits us perfectly.see more
Poipu Kapili #08
awesome condo!!!

Almost every year we stay in Kaua'i and this year we decided to stay with Parrish at the Poipu Kapili, unit #8. We stayed the week of May 8th thru the 17th and we enjoyed every minute of our stay at the condo. This is really a fantastic condo!!! The condo is located perfectly close to Poipu Beach, Kukuiula shopping and restaurants. The condo itself is awesome, great views of the pacific from the lanai and the upstairs master. We saw pods of dolphins and a few humpbacks while having breakfast on the lanai. The accommodations are very well taken care of and furnishings modern, cable, free wifi, etc... The grounds of the PK are well taken care of and the staff/workers are very friendly; lots of Aloha Kaua'i style. The condo is well outfitted with boogie boards, cooler, beach bags, and towels. The parking is very convenient to the condo. There are grills just outside the condo to cook your local catches or meats. We are very impressed and pleased with the condo and will definitely book this unit again. Parrish collection was fantastic to work with and made the booking very easy. The only thing people should know is that there's no AC; this is not a problem for us since the trades are blowing and the unit is very breezy but to some people who don't care for a little warmth, this may be a negative point. We wouldn't hesitate recommending someone to this and have in fact recommended the unit to friends and family. Mahalo!!see more

Perfect house for our family of 10

50th Wedding celebration with our children and grandchildren (2 teens and 1 and 1/2 year old twins). The home was everything we expected and more. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean and had plenty of room for us all. The rental agent was very helpful with referrals for baby equipment. The pool and view were outstanding and driving to the beach was not a problem. A very quiet, lovely neighborhood. No one in the family was ready to leave ...we will be back!see more
Kauai Dream
It really is a dream home...

Kauai Dream is truly beautiful. I don't have a single complaint. Parrish Collection is truly a dream to work with, and are attentive to every detail. The house, itself, was well kept, updated and had everything (and more) that we could possibly need. This was our 3rd trip to Kauai (our 5th to the islands) and we will definitely book Kauai Dream again. The mountain views were breathtaking. The pool was relaxing after a day of hiking or spending it on the beach. The best beach (in our opinion) was a quick 2 minute drive or a 5 minute walk away. The set up of the home is perfect for our family (we have two teenagers). It gave them the space and privacy they needed while maintaining the family time my husband and I so desperately needed. I would absolutely recommend this home. We can't wait to go back!see more

House worked wonderfully, great location

Great home, we had 2 adults and 4 teenagers on this trip. House worked out great, as I had meetings at Grand Hyatt right next door. Wonderful proximity to beaches and lots of fun places to eat w/in a ten min. drive. Our thx to Parrish staff as house was nice and clean when we showed up, and had nearly all the basic things we needed. We'll be back!see more
